A true Telltale adventure in a true Minecraft world.

Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 2, the second part of the the Telltale take on the ultimate sandbox universe, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy achievements.

Telltale is a studio renowned for their ability to capture the essence of anything they touch. Whether it's the comic-book world of The Wolf Among Us, the zany universe of Borderlands, or the courtly intrigue from Game of Thrones - the developers at Telltale are always spot on with the writing, the tone, and the visuals.
Minecraft: Story Mode is a Telltale game in every respect. A new, and perhaps familiar, adventure awaits with great writing, plenty of choices, a memorable cast of characters, and that intangible something that blends Telltale gameplay with Minecraft's unique aesthetics, sounds, and gameplay. While Minecraft: Story Mode is an adventure rather than sandbox, you'll still get to run away from creepers, punch trees and craft.

The grand adventure in the world of Minecraft continues with Episode 2 - Assembly Required now available for download. Things get heavy and really, really dangerous (but danger's fun, isn't it?) as our blocky friends escape from a looming threat, navigate a hail of TNT, and so much more.

As always, every episode, past and future, is included in your purchase.

Some assembly may be required in Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 2, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.

*reality check*
*sighs*
It's a Telltale release... Not my cup of tea. :P
I'm....not sure what to think about this. Since it was announced, I didn't understand why it was going to be made other than to ride the Minecraft popularity.

... I wasn't in Minecraft for story.. I just wanted to build things and poke around on adventures in random places I found while gathering stuff needed to build more.....

There is no story in Minecraft, you automatically make your own story as you travel around aimlessly, fighting spiders and creepers, and building stuff. Whether you care to retell the story --or even remember it-- is a different matter entirely, your Minecraft story is built from the time you spend in-game and the actions you do while there.

Arinielle: snip
Yeah, I agree.

Besides, there are mods out there that give you a story.

JMich: What's the usual phrase young padawan?
Yeah, I know, but a padawan I am not.

Patience then young catawan. Or is it cathopper?

A cathopper? That sounds like a cat on a pogo stick.
Oh, it's that baffling game that everyone was confused about the existence of, including me!

And even better, it's in that terrible looking youtube machinima style that so many minecraft animations are in!

More power to Telltale and GOG for this release, but I got my fill of Telltale with SBCG4AP.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I didn't go analyzing everything I saw and thought hard on what it could be. ..I just wandered around. Felt like a game where I didn't have to worry so much about what was really going on but I could do whatever the hell I wanted in it.

Grasspawer? Not sure I can make any more generic cat puns, unless you want me to start with names.

No, that's enough. Otherwise, we're going to start attracting the jeering squad.

How cool would it be it was actually original Minecraft released. *sighs*
I'm not really interested in this game, but it's nice to see that Telltale is bringing it's games here as day-1-releases now.
mediocre X mediocre ?
Ok so I'm a huge fan of MineCraft but until I see the price of the rest of the episodes, I'm gonna have to pass on this one. $25 for the initial buy in, and how much will each following episode be? If they're all equal you're talking $125 for this game. Way beyond anything I would pay for in a game. I will still watch an LP of this though to see what it's all about. If the other episodes are super cheap I may even buy in, but not yet.

My whole reason for the original MineCraft though was to create my own story, my own adventure without knowing where I would be going next. It has it's own end goal, but the journey to it is never the same.

Although to be honest, Once this is all said and done, I bet there will be clones of this made within the original MineCraft with the use of mods and will most likely be free.
