Can Massive Chalice work with either DirectX 9.0c or 10?

IronArcturus: Can Massive Chalice work with either DirectX 9.0c or 10?
Dev answer from Steam:

DFDavid [developer]

Massive Chalice supports any GPU from DirectX 10.0 or higher, so your laptop should be able to play the game.

More technically, the game uses the DirectX 11.0 API, but is uses feature level 10.0.
So you need DirectX 11.0+ installed but game should work with GPU's that support DirectX 10.0 or higher, IE cards listed in minimium system requirements (Graphics: 256 MB GeForce 8800, Radeon 3850, or Intel HD 3000 Graphics) or better.

Not bad. :) Hopefully a bluetext not on vacation can complete this: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/double_fines_massive_chalice

Hopefully SEGA shows some sense - one of these days - and brings "The Cave" (and others of course), or Double Fine is eventually able to self-publish it here. http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_cave
Hello and congratulations.

Your telephone number has been specially selected in our [Wednesday] draw.

You have definitely won a major prize, perhaps even our star prize of a massive chalice.

That's right, as soon as the admin fees have been processed we will rush you a - Hello? Hello?

It's happened again!

- He hung up?

Yes, and I was in the middle of a sentence.

Why will no one accept my massive chalice?

Ixamyakxim: I checked out the screenshots, time to go watch the little video. Anyone want to give impressions? Is there an overworld / strategic map (one of the shots makes it look like there is). Is it all character focused or is it possible to conquer territories, build new structures, assign lords of fiefdoms and such? A "Total War" aspect I guess is a good way to ask. Excited!
You can build different structures in territories that belong to you, you can assign heroes to reign over territories which means retiring them from turn-based combat. Those retired heroes can be "paired" so they breed new heroes.
edit: couldn't be bothered preaching. What a lovely sight to have on day 1! Will have to backlog and download my second grade humble version for now.

Sounds exactly like what I was hoping for - thank you for the reply!

As long as they are both fertile and of different sex. Infertile and same sex pairs can only adopt.

So how this game compare with its competition The Bannar Saga?

From what I can say by now though, the game isn't really "deep". Maybe it's even a bit casual.
The turn-based combat is light.weight, I haven't found out about many different structures.
Maybe there's more to it and I just haven't found it yet! I haven't played much.
BUT; It is a nice game. It is a fun game! I'm content!
All Hail the Massive Chalice!

Anyway, I'll stream two hours of it on Friday at 8 pm CEST, on GOGcom's twitch.

I've only played a couple hours of either so far but, I'd say this feels more like X-com and other classic squad based strategys at the combat level. Where Banner Saga feels a bit more like a game of chess.
