Ah, what a fine day for science!

Maize, a subversive first-person adventure about sentient plants, a grumpy mechanical teddy bear, and secret labs, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

We all make mistakes. Sometimes they result in somebody waking up in the middle of the ocean floating atop a pub sign. Others, they result in the accidental creation of sentient corn. It can happen.
Now you find yourself in this abandoned farm, aiming to figure out exactly what was taking place in the research facility below it. But more importantly, what it is that the corn actually wants. Except for the crows to leave it alone. We've pretty much established that.
As you explore the place, solve devious puzzles, and try to keep a straight face while interacting with the bizarre characters, you will begin to realize there are more surprises waiting for you around each corn-er. What is a Russian robotic teddy bear even doing here? Did the scientists fail miserably or where their goals entirely different? And will somebody teach that corn stalk some manners, already?

Get lost in a Maize full of absurd happenings, ill-tempered flora, and embarrassing government secrets, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 10% discount will last until December 4, 5:59 PM UTC.

Fairfox: Let me guess; you're here all night :D
Try the veal and don't forget to tip your waiter. Or is that the other way around? ;-)
Hm, I dunno. I'm getting a "this is trying too hard to be zany and random" vibe from this one, and that trailer reminded me a lot of bad comedy movie trailers... I can almost hear "Rob Schneider is... a robot bear!"

To be honest, after having had a look at some game play videos, the game looks quite alright. My love for puns just won over the better sides of me earlier.

yukiai01: Wishlisted :)

but:

No linux version :(
No soundtrack :(
I'm with you in all points.
looks like GOG doesnt give you much time to buy it with the launch discount only for not even 1 working day, shame for all the people that cant even go to the bank on monday before the launch discount runs out, this is worse than with bounty train but that went at least 2 working days . Id fix your launch discount durations , i wasnt given the chance to even preorder it, it hit gog here late friday and launch discount runs out early monday before bank even opens.

not happy
Just saw the game at steam ,( i was looking for some new casual games)
they seem to like it a lot, but some users said 3 hours was not much , seems the game can be finished quickly.
Never heard of it. Will add it to whishlist for now ...

That's why I began to follow GOG's RSS feed some years ago.
What the fuck were they on when they made this game
