Crime for some fun.

Mafia II and Mafia III are now available, DRM-Free on GOG.com. Each of the three Mafia games is 50% off individually or 66% off if you purchase them all together (the Family special, if you will). Offer lasts until April 05, 6pm UTC.

Mafia II tells the highly cinematic story of Vito and Joe, two Empire Bay friends in the 50s, who start out thick as thieves. Also extortionists. Sometimes assassins. All around wise guys. As their status inside the family grows, so will their troubles, requiring them to shoot, race, punch, or simply outlast everything the criminal life throws at them.

Mafia III introduces Lincoln, a hardened Vietnam veteran who thinks he's earned himself a fresh start, away from his criminal past. But life has other plans and those include betrayal, fierce gunfights, and brutal action, as he's forced to carve himself a path to the top of organized crime through the sweaty, treacherous swamplands of New Bordeaux.
Boost his firepower and expand upon his dramatic story with the DLC packs Sign of the Times, Stones Unturned, Faster, Baby!, and Family Kick Back Pack.
Or simply go for the Deluxe Edition, which includes the whole lot of them.

O.K. - normally I would buy all three games here but

I own Mafia 1 as retail version including original soundtrack.
I bought Mafia 2 before they changed the music as retail -> Steam.
I bought Mafia 3 including all DLCs on Steam sale.

So in the end I probably should only rebuy Mafia 3 - but I bought for a low price and even the actual GOG price would be much higher than the ones I paid. So it goes to the wishlist/hope for GOG connect.

My Mafia 2 and my Mafia 1 version would be preferable because of the complete soundtrack I guess. Or did GOG get back the complete soundtrack for Mafia 1 and 2 as well?

I wish I knew how exactly the Mafia 2 soundtrack has been modified.

loki1985: OK, i bought it and compared to the Steam version. Looks like about 14 licensed music tracks are missing, zeroed out.
Also the credits music has been modified.

Also strangely some of the speech is different from the Steam version....
Could SOMEBODY please bring an unofficial Music-Patch, like part 1? Thanks a lot in advance. :)

Still, very good release GOG / 2K Games. Thanks a lot! Bring MORE. Bring "Bioshock" and "X-COM"...

boztix: If the games have achievements in steam, xbox or playstation, why have not they added the achievements to the gog version?
I noticed this too. Almost all games who are avaiable on steam and then get to gog, the achievements are dropped most of the time. WHY GOG? WHY 2K?
wow, very nice to have mafia 2 & 3 here !

Nope for the first one.

Note: This re-release of Mafia has an edited soundtrack and does not include any licensed music.
And it seems no for the second one, as well:

Plus, it seems that GOG isn't allowed to sell the soundtrack as an extra like Steam does:

So then there is only part 3 on my wishlist even though I am aware GOG cannot do anything against it.

Zoidberg: Less desirable how? It's half the price on Monthly and you get deus ex and three or four more games.
avatar
MadalinStroe: Maybe it's just me then, but if a game is available DRM-Free, preferably on GOG, then the STEAM equivalent plummets in value. Again this is my opinion, and there are several others here on the forum who share this view.
Not if they Connect it. :P

Besides it's not that great a game, deus ex isn't either.

But at 12$ but some other surprises it's ok.

20€ just for mafia 3 is too much, esp when it should be at 17€ apparently.

But I get your point. Personally I thought like that but changed my opinion mainly because of the shift in politics on GOG.

Sweet!
Super cool! Bought instantly.

That would be great, considering that the bundle is still available, and will be available for another week. However looking at the list of 2k published games here on GOG, I don't recognize even one title that was available through Connect. It seem that 2k doesn't see the value of GOG Connect.
For Australia to complete Mafia games it's shows 50% off but is the 66% when added to cart.
