Crime for some fun.

Mafia II and Mafia III are now available, DRM-Free on GOG.com. Each of the three Mafia games is 50% off individually or 66% off if you purchase them all together (the Family special, if you will). Offer lasts until April 05, 6pm UTC.

Mafia II tells the highly cinematic story of Vito and Joe, two Empire Bay friends in the 50s, who start out thick as thieves. Also extortionists. Sometimes assassins. All around wise guys. As their status inside the family grows, so will their troubles, requiring them to shoot, race, punch, or simply outlast everything the criminal life throws at them.

Mafia III introduces Lincoln, a hardened Vietnam veteran who thinks he's earned himself a fresh start, away from his criminal past. But life has other plans and those include betrayal, fierce gunfights, and brutal action, as he's forced to carve himself a path to the top of organized crime through the sweaty, treacherous swamplands of New Bordeaux.
Boost his firepower and expand upon his dramatic story with the DLC packs Sign of the Times, Stones Unturned, Faster, Baby!, and Family Kick Back Pack.
Or simply go for the Deluxe Edition, which includes the whole lot of them.

loki1985: already wrote to support, hope they manage to fix it before the discount expires. and hope they dont get hung up on the fact i already downloaded it, technicality and all.
I had a similar problem with X Rebirth (accidentally bought the vanilla game when I really wanted the Complete edition without having to go through the expensive upgrade option; I had already downloaded (but not installed) the game), and at least back then GOG was cool about it, refunding me the game with store credit so that I could later buy the complete edition.

Hopefully they are as cool with you.
i must say those trailers were awesome, might keep my eye on them. badabing!
Can someone answer how exactly was the music changed?

If you have an original version with the complete soundtrack, it might be possible to restore them by copying over the respective files. But that is simply speculation on my part...

boztix: It is shameful that they do not add achievements to the version of gog when the steam version does. But I do not understand players who do not buy a game in gog because the game has no added achievements as in steam.

MarkoH01: So you changed your mind?
I have not changed my opinion. I think like many users. If you pay a game it must have added the same options that the game has in other platforms (achievements, cloud save, support in the forums), but I do not understand that there are users who do not buy a game in gog because it has no added the achievements.

The games in gog has no drm, it is for me it is important. However Cd Projeck should read the complaints for the lack of achievements in many of the games added to gog (should see the wish list as well) and solve this "problem".

For me personally it is worse that a game does not have cloud save that I have no achievements, however I think it is disrespectful not to add achievements to gog games when the developer adds them to their games in steam, xbox, ps ...

Anyway it's a very talked about topic in this and other forums

Then maybe you should read again what you posted then

"if a game does not have support for the developer's gog or does not add achievements or clud save I get the game without drm by other means."

So wouldn't that mean that you won't buy it which is a thing you said you don't understand?

Yes, as you said, we already discussed this in your thread so if you want to discuss this any further maybe we should use the thread you already started.
Very cool move Gog and 2k, I personally don't care about cloud saves or achievements but missing music from the game is abit disappointing. Still a very cool addition to gog thanks.

MadalinStroe: The product on GOG has always been identical to the one on STEAM. Achievements on STEAM/GOG, unless they are unlockable and displayed on a panel ingame, are a completely detached and exterior part of the game, tied to the client being used, and as such are not part of the actual product. Calling games on GOG inferior because they lack the achievements the STEAM client adds is incorrect.
Ahh!! I think I see where we are differing here. I have NOT been discussing people's claims that the game itself is inferior. I can understand why that might upset you. The only thing I am pointing out is that people have the right to mention that they would like to see the same extras/bonuses which all the other services (with support for them) are getting. People love it when they get a soundtrack with the game on GOG, so I can see understand why someone might wish to ask why a non-company specific (PSN, XBL, Steam, etc...) bonus (achievements) are not found here, when GOG has support for them. I was never talking about the game itself being somehow worse.
Shame achievements aren't included, but having them on GOG at all is a great boon. I'm curious how much work is needed to swap the data for achievements from Steam to Galaxy. Seems like a lot of devs forgo with the entire process altogether.
Yay, awesome release! :-) Thanks for bringing these, GOG!
high rated
Achievements, schmachievements... meh!

Bought Mafia 2 + 3 Deluxe Edition! Achievement unlocked, yay!
Any chances of this coming to GOG Connect? I've bought mafia !! two times alread and i own mafia III on steam. Would love to add them to my DRM-Free Collection. Seems i'm just gonna have to start waiting before before i buy anymore games, since they are coming to GOG these days. because I'd Much rather support GOG than throw my money elsewhere.

Zoidberg: Less desirable how? It's half the price on Monthly and you get deus ex and three or four more games.

MadalinStroe: Maybe it's just me then, but if a game is available DRM-Free, preferably on GOG, then the STEAM equivalent plummets in value. Again this is my opinion, and there are several others here on the forum who share this view.
./agree completely... in fact, I don't buy outside of GoG unless it's drm free straight from the dev (like mount and blade) or it's something that I just absolutely have to have and can't wait for it to come to GoG (like stellaris) and will buy it again on GoG when it gets here.

On the achievements discussion... GoG should argue for a slightly lower price if it doesn't include the achievements. I personally could care less about them, but I do understand the appeal and how it could extend the game's life. Hey, it has no drm AND no achievements, so we should get a bigger price cut =P
