Crime for some fun.

Mafia II and Mafia III are now available, DRM-Free on GOG.com. Each of the three Mafia games is 50% off individually or 66% off if you purchase them all together (the Family special, if you will). Offer lasts until April 05, 6pm UTC.

Mafia II tells the highly cinematic story of Vito and Joe, two Empire Bay friends in the 50s, who start out thick as thieves. Also extortionists. Sometimes assassins. All around wise guys. As their status inside the family grows, so will their troubles, requiring them to shoot, race, punch, or simply outlast everything the criminal life throws at them.

Mafia III introduces Lincoln, a hardened Vietnam veteran who thinks he's earned himself a fresh start, away from his criminal past. But life has other plans and those include betrayal, fierce gunfights, and brutal action, as he's forced to carve himself a path to the top of organized crime through the sweaty, treacherous swamplands of New Bordeaux.
Boost his firepower and expand upon his dramatic story with the DLC packs Sign of the Times, Stones Unturned, Faster, Baby!, and Family Kick Back Pack.
Or simply go for the Deluxe Edition, which includes the whole lot of them.

For a more comprehensive view of all the Mafia games and DLC, drive yourself over here.
Mafia 3 was really repetitive and not that great, in direct comparison to the fantastic Mafia 2.

Still nice to see it coming to GOG.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: I'm surprised by the universal acclaim this news is getting.
AAA-game by a AAA-publisher on gog a year and a half after release. Not exactly something I'm used to seeing and hopefully this means that a 2K Games backlog-dumpening is upon us/other publishers will follow suit. If gog could get Rockstar (which belongs to the same parent company as 2K) to release the GTA/Max Payne/Manhunt-series here, that would be amazing!

amrit9037: Awesome!!! Thank you gog and 2K.
please release BioShock Trilogy soon.
Be careful there. They'd release the remasters which are dodgy as hell.

Max Payne 1 and 2

Never played Max Payne 3, it just looked like GTA with a bold guy and no noir

... In the home stretch. Last 10 gig to go

Mafia 3.For the other two there is a bit of work involved to bring them back into the game but nothing serious ;).Cheers

MadalinStroe: EDIT 2: Can't wait for all the posts about Mafia 2&3's release on GOG being sub-par versions due to lacking achievements.
I'm curious. Are you against a few people pointing out the lack of optional features for GOGs optional client? We come here for three things: games, older games that work on modern PCs and lack of DRM in said games. It seems odd that we should not desire equal treatment with Steam when it comes to bells and whistles. If we wish DRM-free to have all the success it can get, it only makes sense that we would want parity of optional features for the optional client that GOG has. I don't care much about achievements myself, but I can see this as being a good thing.

Whatever the case, I'm rather glad to see this available DRM-free, here on GOG! Thanks GOG and 2K Games!

EndlessKnight: ...
Have you not noticed that whenever THQ Nordic releases a game on GOG, there are some people that complain that they will not buy said game on GOG due to lack of achievements, thus claiming that the version on GOG is inferior? Because, I have noticed them. GOG should never have introduced unlockable achievements via Galaxy.

Mafia 2 is a mediocre game (maybe a 7/10 at best) that is vastly inferior to the masterpiece that is Mafia 1 (definitely a 10/10). And apparently the GOG release of Mafia 2 has a butchered soundtrack as well, which makes it much worse than its original release.

Mafia 3 is a terrible game all-around. There is no point in GOG having curation if Mafia 3 is capable of passing it.
Same sentiments. I only really love Mafia 1.
WOW! This is a surprise, now if only the farcry series makes it over here!...I doubt it, but still...

Actually, there was some news that Assassin's Creed 2 and 3 coming to GOG. And Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is released this summer. So, there is still a chance... A good chance, especially if Assassin's Creed games will arrive to GOG. :)
