huan: I think this kind of content is hard banned in PRC, steam may be in position to either not sell this game to you
True, but that hasn't stopped them in the past. As I implied, I was able to get Lust for Darkness from Steam a couple of years ago just fine. So odd that they'd put a region lock on it now AFTER now that the steampowered storefront is de facto blocked anyway.

The reviews are censored now.

Yes, after seeing all the one stars reviews deleted, I received a mail saying :
"Please note that if we feel the review is abusive or doesn’t concern the game or can be considered as spam, GOG staff reserves the right to delete it at any time."

Thanks GOG, this is a goodbye.

hi developers, can you add the 'unrated version' to the game, agony and succubus give you the unrated version as an option, can you do the same please, thank you =)

Wow, SUPER LAME!!!
The "M" comes from "Mutilated edition", right?

Sigh. It looks like they still can't put themselves in our shoes. Censoring reviews? Because the mere suggestion worked so well when Hitman was released, right?

Some things only become problem after you are big enough (of have been going long enough) for someone to notice... Or they may be trying to get back on the good side of authorities if you say steam is more or less blocked already. GOG got away with a lot too, while they were small shop focused on ancient dosbox games. *shrug* I don't pretent to understand what is involved in running international game store. But fear of government retaliation (either real or implied) is a motivation I can understand. Especially if it's "I have altered the rules. Pray I do not alter them further" type of government. You rather err on the side of caution in such cases.

TheGrimLord: You want to hear something funny? Try looking for the game on some piracy sites. You won't even find it. That's because even pirates felt it was a sad waste of time to upload this version of the game.
Unfortunately the first pirate site kicked of the uncensored build and uploaded this new one.

Hopefully they will reverse the decision, since IF a version should be "curated/archived" without DRM, it should be the uncensored one, not this piece of garbage here. :(

not my cup of tea but if I ever wanted to play a game like this I'd want a version without the sexual content. But I still fear that even if it is censored there might still be too much sex in it for me. The traler still looked like there is sexual content.
If I am watching a movie or a series, at least I can fastforward/skip. In a videogame you are stuck watching/doing everything.
So, is there a more censored version than this one, but it's not here?
Well if you want no sexual innuendo/content at all, it's fair to say the game probably isn't for you.
The sex horror theme is kinda the angle here.

So. I'm glad there is a version of the game that removes explicit content from it. That is definitely my preferred version. But why isn't the option for the uncut, unrated version being offered? If it is the developer, then why? If it is GOG, it is illogical.
My theory right now is that they want to stir controversy, to get people to talk about their game. Given the content, censorship is natural choice. It looks like it's working... They already admited that "(AO version on GOG) is certainly within the realm of possibility if the gamers want it" (thanks Vechernyaya for asking on their steam forum).

I have no idea what you're referring to, not even the bay has this crap.
Have already found 2 sites that host this crap. Will of course not name them, but it runs as expected.

It is considered a "new, updated release" and they upload it without checking the content.

No one here in germany will even think about torrent-sites (too risky), so the "bay" is no real standard here.

The uncensored version ASKS you at the beginning if you want so see everything. It HAS a censor option for your wishes. That makes this crap situation so hilariously stupid and the complete fault of the publishers.

GOG has my full support support here. Those lazy entitled outrage-reviews have to go. If a game has serious issues, those will be brought up in reviews by those who, you know, have actually played the game.

Actually that is fair, they didn't remove the bad reviews that have nothing to do with the game from the Kagura games though, they should at least be consequent. Seems a bit like playing favourites.
