Well then...ok, boomer!
I don't see a problem with releasing a few unusual simulators. It's not like GOG hasn't released them before (fishing, PC building etc.). I guess there are people who enjoy them, too. From my perspective, this is not worse than a yet another pixelated metroidvania or a generic point and click adventure game.

I tried the new God of War, .. this game is better.

I don't get the big upset some people are having.

There are people who have been asking for sports games and simulation games. This week we got both types.
So it's bad for GOG to listen to what people in the community wants? And should GOG only aquire games that only one group on GOG wants and not other groups, why should person A's wishlist be worth more than person B's?

While I'm not against this game per se, I wonder why GOG chose it, instead of other Coresoft titles. Like American Rodeo or Cabela's Big Game Hunter. They have better review scores and also wouldn't be rejected as "girl-game" by the large part of the audience like this:

Why don't you make a bundle with The Demon Lord is New in Town ?
I bet the same group buys both games.
I really doubt that. Unless there is a romance option. ;)

afaik this is the only Coresoft game on Steam. same publisher. So it was an easy bring.

If you mean that it was the publisher's (or developer's) decision, then the question is still the same - why "Let's Ride!" and not other games?

Again, "American Rodeo" would probably be a lot better choice both for Steam (as Steam already has several horseriding games but not rodeo games, so no competition) and GOG (people wouldn't dismiss it as "another cutesy girl-game").

Could be anything, even copyright issues.
Without a word from the publisher it's hard to tell.

Ugh Romance ? I'm not into horses sorry.....

I think Orkhepaj should be gifted a free Eroge game to any game he buys on any store though:)

I would like more games with this theme. The only thing keeping me is lack of attachment to this title which, as I seem to remember, was a PS 2 game. Looking at the screenshots it just didn't age very well. Since I still got fond memories of Bibi & Tina I would love to see a release of this and similar games. One can only hope that at least this one will also be released here.
And the first review is a guy who feels challenged in his manhood by this game.
Can't be much behind of that part of this guy.

You don't seem to know what a boomer is. Most people in their 30s are millennials.

Probably what Reaper9988 said, some legal issues. Somehow Cosmi got the rights to this title (probably some "package deal" where they got a bunch of IP/titles) but not the others. can get quite messy.

BIG GAME HUNTER® PRO HUNTS was delisted in 2017; Activision - publisher of Cabela titles - lost the rights?

I don't know for sure of course. I'd have no problem with whoever bringing the games you mentioned here, I'm just throwing out possible reasons.

I bought this PC game on CD for my daughter many years ago. She's 30 now, and would have been in her early teens at the time.

Despite what some think, it is always good to see a bit more family based variety at GOG.

I freely admit though, that I wasn't expecting to see this sort of game here, so somewhat a surprise.

I don't think any of us really understand GOG's curation, but I get the feeling GOG is filling some gaps, expanding their appeal. I can't say I am enamored with much of the anime of late, especially the porn based ones, but I guess GOG are certainly not putting all their eggs in the one basket, and maybe the curation in recent times is about shoring up their base.

I quite expect GOG to return to more obvious provisions in the future, providing they haven't alienated those providers meanwhile.

From a psychological point of view, I can see they are showing they aren't reliant on the usual fare we've grown to expect over the years, and maybe that's deliberate ... sending a message ... especially to those who are difficult to agree with on terms. Nothing says we don't need you more than showing they don't need you.

In a related thought. Have GOG ever had the notoriety they now have?
I wouldn't be surprised if many many more people are aware of GOG these days, and sure some of that would be negative based due to the Devotion incident, but from what I have read, most did not really care about the issue in any meaningful way, so maybe overall there has been a greater positive impact ... resulting in more customers.

Timboli: ...
I wouldn't be surprised if GOG circa '13-'17ish thought they could afford to be more picky than they realistically could (hedging their bets on Galaxy really taking off and bringing in new customers and truly becoming competition to Steam), and eventually the "curation" came back to bite them (and other issues of course), so they're trying to do better about courting devs and pubs.

That said I don't know what's going on with highly-desired titles like Selaco that should be easy to bring here.

1 game 17 reviews, likely a troll.

Yeah, apparently for some people "good curation" equals adding another one to the hundreds of RPGs, shooters and strategy games. (Not that I'm actually against that... ^_^)

And definitely GOG should never try even one game that may appeal to young or female gamers, because we wouldn't want that kind around here. Anyone who wants to play an animal-related simulation would clearly be better satisfied with rodeo or hunting sims - it goes without saying. Sigh.

if Sony won't let GOG release it, GOG can't release it.
