The clockwork metropolis.

Lethis - Path of Progress, the steampunk city-builder with the Victorian backdrop, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount.

It may not be such a powerful word today, but there was a time when all people were talking about was the energy revolution of steam. It's easy to see why, as it was pretty much what brought the wonders of mass production to everyday life. Lethis is a Victorian world drenched in that mix of romantic steampunk aesthetics and aggressive resource consumption that calls for firm management and an eye for innovation.

The introduction of steam applications opens up a wonderful, cartoony world of opportunities. But before you can block out the sun with your fleet of zeppelins or give your people that huge observatory, you must first tend to your production lines, make sure to keep your workers happy, and establish profitable trade routes for the glory of the Empire. Mass production brings mass management problems and mass expectations from the masses. But bold science and smart coordination will help your lovely cities reach their full industrial potential and maybe raise a majestic monument or two.

Discover the excitement and far-reaching decisions that come with industrial revolution in Lethis - Path of Progress, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 50% discount will last until March 5, 1:59 AM GMT.

IronArcturus: I still wish there was some chance Microsoft could come to GOG. There are so many great MS games we need, like Freelancer, Age of Empires, and Outwars!
Glad to see someone mentioning that game. I only had the demo, but it was wicked fun, especially multiplayer! Definitely an instabuy title.

Harzzach: Only if GOG.com would agree to make those old games compatible exclusively for Windows 10 :)
... and would remove all Mac and Linux game versions from the store! ;)

Tarhiel: Like me, for example.
Hope they will rectify it.
There have been four releases since MoO:Reboot was announced. Yet there it sits at the front of the queue, daring you to give a fuck.

Zoidberg: Seems like a neat little game in that genre but it has some really apparent flaws from what I gathered.
What kind of flaws?
Love the art. Maybe someday. :)

eiii: What kind of flaws?
Flaws specific to the game's genre. I think John Bain did a video on it.

iangold: Cool! Where's Emperor RotMK? ;-)
With Activision. I'm still waiting for GOG's Los Angeles office to bust down Activ's doors and get us some more games. x-P

was really ahead of its time! Plus, [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/urban_assault]Urban Assault is another rare MS game I wish GOG could get!
Definitely! It has a pretty nice Starship Troopers vibe as well, with the endless streams of bugs and bugnests that you have to take out.

I've been interested in Urban Assault as well ever since I discovered it, especially since I love Battlezone! Sadly there doesn't appear to be many (or any other for that matter) games like that, with their combination of rts and fps in a sci-fi setting :(

IAmSinistar: Looks nice, and an interesting setting for a city builder. Though where is the omnipresent black pall from the satanic mills?

Incidentally, still hating that GOG doesn't put the new releases at the fore in the front page carousel, but continues to eclipse them with whatever the latest In-Dev game is. Really unfriendly to folks who check the front page to see what is new.
It's called capitalism.

I am pretty sure the publisher of MOO paid for the privilege (or more accurately the customers who bought the InDev paid for it -- the publisher just decided how to wisely invest the money (after paying for the voice acting)).
This looks like a fantastic release, normally instabuy but too expensive even with the 50% off (let alone full price). Looked at several reviews on Youtube as well as reading some in general which worried me quite a bit.

I read a few people say the devs are working on a new game and not on this anymore, so we don't know if bugs / updates are still coming, I have no idea so I don't know but that was one thing that worried me a little. Anyone know how accurate this is ?

Wishlisted for now until it is cheaper than the current 50% off.

Pity because this is exactly the kind of game I adore. Still no matter. A giant Thank you to GoG for having it on here. When the price is right, I'll get it :)

So has this improved since TB took a crack at it?

I suspected such was at the root, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. Queue up the old "GOG Ain't What It Used To Be" blues, available on cassette tape and 45 RPM.

Yeah, this is exactly what Lethis is. A return to 90s city builders :)
