The clockwork metropolis.

Lethis - Path of Progress, the steampunk city-builder with the Victorian backdrop, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount.

It may not be such a powerful word today, but there was a time when all people were talking about was the energy revolution of steam. It's easy to see why, as it was pretty much what brought the wonders of mass production to everyday life. Lethis is a Victorian world drenched in that mix of romantic steampunk aesthetics and aggressive resource consumption that calls for firm management and an eye for innovation.

The introduction of steam applications opens up a wonderful, cartoony world of opportunities. But before you can block out the sun with your fleet of zeppelins or give your people that huge observatory, you must first tend to your production lines, make sure to keep your workers happy, and establish profitable trade routes for the glory of the Empire. Mass production brings mass management problems and mass expectations from the masses. But bold science and smart coordination will help your lovely cities reach their full industrial potential and maybe raise a majestic monument or two.

Discover the excitement and far-reaching decisions that come with industrial revolution in Lethis - Path of Progress, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 50% discount will last until March 5, 1:59 AM GMT.
Not only Victorian era is one of my favourite era in games but coupled with a steampunk flavor makes up a tasty blend. No need to meantion the great discount! Too bad I don't have much free time for a city builder right now because Lethis looks very nice. I'll keep it in mind for later though.
Hopefully this'll get a second life here on gog. Seems like a neat little game in that genre but it has some really apparent flaws from what I gathered.
I'm not into managerial city sims all that much (though I do love some of the SimCity games), but this one seems to have enough character to differentiate itself from all the other sims out there; I love the cartoony art style and the steampunk setting.

Wishlisted for now, maybe I'll purchase it after watching some gameplay (perhaps someone will stream it on the GOGcom twitch channel? *wink* ChronoWolf *wink*)

Looks nice, and an interesting setting for a city builder. Though where is the omnipresent black pall from the satanic mills?

Incidentally, still hating that GOG doesn't put the new releases at the fore in the front page carousel, but continues to eclipse them with whatever the latest In-Dev game is. Really unfriendly to folks who check the front page to see what is new.

Very nice looking game! Somebody seems to be willing to carry the torch of Impressions Games. It's so sad that Tilted Mill Entertainment decided to go the "brown 3D" route with their games.

This game looks like OTTD's brother minus the transport part!!!
Looks interesting. Does it works under WINE?
There seems to be some confusion over at GOG HQ. This also isn't Deponia 4.
Is there a reason this wasn't released last year when it came out...?

I always skip the in-dev , cause i am more interested in finished games.
Looks interesting. I'd like to know, if it runs under wine too!
Wish-listed for now.

@GOG: Thread's title is "Release: Lethis – Paths of Progress". It needs to be fixed as "Release: Lethis – Path of Progress". Not a real problem though! :-)
Looks pretty cool! Is it like SimCity 2000?

Like me, for example.
Hope they will rectify it.

maybe the bugs?

it seems some nvidia gpu had trouble with it, plus it seems the game wont receive any attention anymore from the devs now they started a new project.
Sometimes dev (mostly the ones on steam) dont seem to 'care' if as many as nvidia GPU are supported
just read all the topics on steam.

Usually steam has loads of replies and comments long before a game is released
check this topic:
a users asks if its worth or if he should ask a refund on steam
i pasted the question here just in case steam might remove the reply :D from the user.

steam user asking

Just bought the game, playing for about an Hour, not sure if I should refund it, Is it worth playing til the late game? How is it late game?
Im aware that the developers are no longer able to update for whatever reason, so I wanted to ask if this game is worth keep in the long term, Ive enjoyed what Ive played so far and loved the old impressions titles.

No updates means no steam workshop which means much less content, Is the content in the base game enough in the long term? how many hours of gameplay is to be had?

Should I or should I not seek a refund?
Thats the end of the quote and personally i think the game looks okay, just okay, not more, no less.
The list price is way to high, after a few hours you have seen most of it, so 8.99 like the sales prices is now at GoG would have also been a better list price, i have many games , played games for 40 years, bought games for 40 years, but i would never pay more then 9.99 for this type of game (citybuilder) , i like point and click better.
The good point on Lethis – Paths of Progress is the fact it is 2d.
I have nividia GPU, so maybe i get this title much later.
