They're killing the peasants at Eisenwald!

Legends of Eisenwald, a mix of cRPG and classic adventure, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look for the game at 33% off during the Big Fall Promo!

Forget dragons, swords, and sorcery - the Reformation in medieval Germany is where it's at. Legends of Eisenwald is a gritty, down-to-earth fantasy story that mixes the combat and loot elements of hex-based cRPGs with the classic "solving puzzles to overcome challenges" gameplay of adventure games - think King's Bounty meets King's Quest and take out a chunk of the high fantasy tropes you love or hate so much.

Medieval Germany in religious conflict is a grim, unwelcoming place, but it sure makes for a good adventure. It's only fair that as a noble, you fit right in like a piece of the cruel, cruel puzzle. Sometimes, you just have to work a few men to death to turn your luck around.

You can pick up the Knight's Pack DLC for the Legends of Eisenwald OST in both MP3 and FLAC formats, as well as a Digital Artbook. During the first six days after launch, you'll also get the newest Road to Iron Forest DLC completely FREE with your game purchase.

The world is going to hand you nothing on a silver platter, you just have to take it - Legends of Eisenwald is now DRM-free on GOG.com.

JudasIscariot: Please try refreshing your account. The link works but I am not sure why you are getting 404s :)
Refresh the account by hitting F5?

404: oh noes, there's nothing in here!
This doesn't help: https://www.gog.com/account/refresh

mrkgnao: King's Bounty is one of my all times favourite series, so I will definitely buy this at some point, but I tend to wait until I know the full price of the game (i.e. when all DLCs have been released), for there is just so much I am willing to pay for a single complete game.

Do you have a tentative public DLC roadmap for the game?
Another two till summer 2016, or a bit later than that, with the next one coming some time this month. After that, it depends on sales.

Looks nice, but I already hate the DLC rubbish.

Thanks.

In that case, I guess I will be getting this game around the 2016 winter sale, if not later (assuming total price of ~$60 and waiting for a discount of at least 60%).

That's OK. I have enough to keep me busy until then. "The Forgotten Realm Archives - Collection Two" alone might be enough (playing Pool of Radiance now (using Grid Cartographer 3 to draw maps) and pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy it, despite it having the worst UI of the gold boxes, it being the first; so it wasn't all rosy-coloured spectacles after all).

Link still isn't working. Account refreshed. "Soon" tag appears on my shelf, which is seemingly the non-special version that is not yet available.
Bah, another one of those games I really wanted to play but GOG didn't have it, so got it on Steam (yeah, I know, but if that's the only option...). Then (in this case two weeks) later it gets released on GOG...

You guys are missing a lot of sales from me this way. As much as I'd like to support you, money's tight so blowing it on things I already have is not really a welcome approach.

Anyhoot, Legends of Eisenwald is awesome. Bloody thing got me burning time I don't even have on it.

The tactical combat is pretty unique in that you do not have Action Points or any similar mechanics - you have to either move, or delay action on each character. Also, target selection for melee weapons is forced, which makes for very interesting (and aggravating!) fights. Especially when your highest damage dealer without magic weapons is blocked by a incorporeal ghost that won't take a point of damage from their weapon.

Anyway, definitely a great buy if you're into the genre. Definitely a lot of potential in the included editor, as well.

In this case, it wasn't GOG's fault.
The developer did not have a DRM-free version until now. See here.

Konrad: Yes. It really is that special. :)
And yet not special enough to include the soundtrack. :)

aterdux: Hey guys, I am Alex and this is our game. If any questions, I'd be happy to answer anything!
Speaking of, was it your decision not to include the Knight's Edition here or was it GOG's? Or is it a Steam exclusive? If so, why?

Because while I dislike Steam they do have the Knight's Edition and if I were going to buy the game, that's where I would be buying it. Although given how you couldn't give a straight answer to "is the game regionally priced" rather than a hand wavy "all games are"... Well there's a lot of games I'd like to play both now and well into the future.

Isn't the Knight's Edition just the base game + the Knight's Pack DLC, both of which are available on GOG (and cost the same as Steam)?
So I'm sure I'm misundersranding, does the Steam version have stuff GOG doesn't?

JMich: Hey, it's only the short version, in case hearing it through would cure the earworm effect. I could always link to the 10 hours version.
I think that defeats me aim of random play with my music selection.

Never heard / seen of this video (or the shorter version before)

---- Edit --- I have to close that you tube tab now. I don't think I can handle 10 hours until those hobbits get to Isengard

Nope, both are the same.

nightcraw1er.488: I am having this problem too. Will ask tech support.

JudasIscariot: The offline installers should be downloadable via browser by now. I just checked on my home PC and I got a pop up window asking where I want to save the installer.
Sorry for late response (blame beer :D), but I still get 404s ... and account refresh doesn't help....
Downloads via browser are still not working (account refresh didn't help).
