They're killing the peasants at Eisenwald!

Legends of Eisenwald, a mix of cRPG and classic adventure, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look for the game at 33% off during the Big Fall Promo!

Forget dragons, swords, and sorcery - the Reformation in medieval Germany is where it's at. Legends of Eisenwald is a gritty, down-to-earth fantasy story that mixes the combat and loot elements of hex-based cRPGs with the classic "solving puzzles to overcome challenges" gameplay of adventure games - think King's Bounty meets King's Quest and take out a chunk of the high fantasy tropes you love or hate so much.

Medieval Germany in religious conflict is a grim, unwelcoming place, but it sure makes for a good adventure. It's only fair that as a noble, you fit right in like a piece of the cruel, cruel puzzle. Sometimes, you just have to work a few men to death to turn your luck around.

You can pick up the Knight's Pack DLC for the Legends of Eisenwald OST in both MP3 and FLAC formats, as well as a Digital Artbook. During the first six days after launch, you'll also get the newest Road to Iron Forest DLC completely FREE with your game purchase.

The world is going to hand you nothing on a silver platter, you just have to take it - Legends of Eisenwald is now DRM-free on GOG.com.

cyboff: it says it's "upcoming" and links lead to 404 ...

mrkgnao: Thanks. As expected, given that MaGog just reflects the GOG links, so you will have to wait for GOG to fix it. I would recommend chatting Judas.
I'm quite OK with Galaxy, so... let Judas enjoy his beer :D
This game looks like Disciples 2. Any idea if the gameplay is similar?
This is day one release right?

There was a Kickstarter and it's been in Early Access on Steam.

The developer had said that they (GOG) would look at the game after release. Nothing else that I know of.

Disciples 2 is our biggest inspiration. Combat in our game is sort of a mix between Disciples 2 and HoMM, you command units not armies, upgrades are similar too. But our game has much less strategic elements. In terms of global map gameplay it's much closer to Kings Bounty.

We didn't make it to create DRM-free version for the release. And then we had to do patches and then some more delays, so here we are :)

King's Bounty is one of my all times favourite series, so I will definitely buy this at some point, but I tend to wait until I know the full price of the game (i.e. when all DLCs have been released), for there is just so much I am willing to pay for a single complete game.

Do you have a tentative public DLC roadmap for the game?

cyboff: e.g. me too... but download via Galaxy works...

I think problem is with that special vs normal version because it's marked "soon" in my library, same as on "normal" game page ( http://www.gog.com/game/legends_of_eisenwald ), but I'm able to buy "special" version normally

nightcraw1er.488: I am having this problem too. Will ask tech support.
The offline installers should be downloadable via browser by now. I just checked on my home PC and I got a pop up window asking where I want to save the installer.

Please try refreshing your account. The link works but I am not sure why you are getting 404s :)
I DLed it a couple hours ago via the old DLer.
