They're killing the peasants at Eisenwald!

Legends of Eisenwald, a mix of cRPG and classic adventure, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look for the game at 33% off during the Big Fall Promo!

Forget dragons, swords, and sorcery - the Reformation in medieval Germany is where it's at. Legends of Eisenwald is a gritty, down-to-earth fantasy story that mixes the combat and loot elements of hex-based cRPGs with the classic "solving puzzles to overcome challenges" gameplay of adventure games - think King's Bounty meets King's Quest and take out a chunk of the high fantasy tropes you love or hate so much.

Medieval Germany in religious conflict is a grim, unwelcoming place, but it sure makes for a good adventure. It's only fair that as a noble, you fit right in like a piece of the cruel, cruel puzzle. Sometimes, you just have to work a few men to death to turn your luck around.

You can pick up the Knight's Pack DLC for the Legends of Eisenwald OST in both MP3 and FLAC formats, as well as a Digital Artbook. During the first six days after launch, you'll also get the newest Road to Iron Forest DLC completely FREE with your game purchase.

The world is going to hand you nothing on a silver platter, you just have to take it - Legends of Eisenwald is now DRM-free on GOG.com.

DampSquib: I have had this, but potion weren't needed, really wasn't a long enough wave to do any real harm.
This comes down to me grinding with all slots filled...and in game healers so far have been enough.
Some of the potions could be real game changers, like for example night vision potion - you skip a turn but then you can shoot until the end with full power. When I play with baroness, I always use it in the tough fights.

Another interesting one is +10 melee attack. For dual wielders it's quite something too.

And +5 will power for battle monks is pretty good too since for them will power equals to +5 attack and defense...

Cheers for the reply, maybe at a later date they will play a bigger part for me.
So far i've been happy to invest the gold in sword/shields rings etc, but i will try them as you suggest.

I would also say that swords are best only for dual wielders. A knight is much better off with two handed weapons (I really like halberds, 70% armor ignoring and decreasing mounted units balance) or axes or crowbills. Two handed swords is a different things of course.

And yes, spending gold on other permanent equipment has a higher priority.

aterdux: Hey guys, I am Alex and this is our game. If any questions, I'd be happy to answer anything!
Thanks for being here on the GOG forum and offering your help!

I see a discrepancy between the minimum system requirements listed for Legends of Eisenwald on your game page and on GOGs game card. Unfortunately my system only passes the minimum requirements listed on your page, but not those listed on GOG. So I would like to know which requirements are correct for the GOG version of the game before I buy it. See also this question in the game forum.

The GOG version is the correct one. We forgot to update our homepage - those requirements are from Early Access time. The release introduced new maps and one of them is unplayable on any 32 bit system and on a computer that has less than 4GB of RAM. Both are the same thing since 32 bit system see only 3,2GB of memory.

That's bad. And not even on GOGs game card (with the higher minimum system requirements) is a hint that the game requires a 64-bit system. My main problem is the minimum screen resolution, I only have 1600 pixels, and I won't replace my set of monitors soon.

Thanks for your answer, even when I had hoped for the other one! :)

You should talk to GOG about getting the new orange 'Developer' status on your account! : )

That can't be right, the game runs just fine here on my old CRT monitor in 1280x1024.

Is it 1600 by 900? Or what resolution is it on your machine?

Yup, i'd say the game card info is wrong too, the games play perfectly at 1280 x 768.

No, the resolution is 1280 by 1024 as I wrote above.

See screenshots. The first one shows the setting in the launcher the second one is an ingame screenshot at the start of the tutorial in 1280x1024.

Great!

When the other minimum system requirements on the game card are as correct as the minimum screen resolution I may even be able to play the game with my current PC. ;)

The game let you chose a 5:4 screen resolution, so it does support not only wide screen modes. Hopefully 4:3 resolutions are also included in that list. :)

I mostly referred to the amount of RAM - 4GB is a must, otherwise one map will be unplayable.

As for screen resolutions, there is a minimal one and it might be 1280x768, I will double check. It won't work on smaller screens.
