They're killing the peasants at Eisenwald!

Legends of Eisenwald, a mix of cRPG and classic adventure, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look for the game at 33% off during the Big Fall Promo!

Forget dragons, swords, and sorcery - the Reformation in medieval Germany is where it's at. Legends of Eisenwald is a gritty, down-to-earth fantasy story that mixes the combat and loot elements of hex-based cRPGs with the classic "solving puzzles to overcome challenges" gameplay of adventure games - think King's Bounty meets King's Quest and take out a chunk of the high fantasy tropes you love or hate so much.

Medieval Germany in religious conflict is a grim, unwelcoming place, but it sure makes for a good adventure. It's only fair that as a noble, you fit right in like a piece of the cruel, cruel puzzle. Sometimes, you just have to work a few men to death to turn your luck around.

You can pick up the Knight's Pack DLC for the Legends of Eisenwald OST in both MP3 and FLAC formats, as well as a Digital Artbook. During the first six days after launch, you'll also get the newest Road to Iron Forest DLC completely FREE with your game purchase.

The world is going to hand you nothing on a silver platter, you just have to take it - Legends of Eisenwald is now DRM-free on GOG.com.
Hmmm... 404 Link Implosions, you say... I did hear rumours of The Gaben sitting cross-legged in the exact centre of the LHC, sacrificing the souls of dispirited indie game devs :)
Meh, did hope to play the game :(

Sent a note to support, see what that achieves....

Ixamyakxim: Oh I know - I think I mentioned yesterday or so that people should hold off punishing the Dev for what is I'm sure a temporary glitch on GoG's end that will be straightened out sooner rather than later.

Funny part - you and mrkgno (wow I think I butchered the spelling of that) noticed it days ago with the Magog updates pulling the two separate catalogue links. Who'd have thought it would cause 404 link implosions!
I hope this temporary glitch won't last till the end of the release promo - going by the responses here, it would seem that no-one at GOG is working on fixing it.

And it's mrkgnao.

gloombandit: Sounds like a common-sense explanation to me. The voice of reason. +1. ...
Yes it sounds convincing although it's bad for those affected nevertheless. Still it doesn't sound like it could not be fixed within some reasonable time. Having a conditional download is not really rocket science. So I mostly don't understand why the the problem is not already fixed.

nightcraw1er.488: No, it still doesn't work, and I got the same information, we recommend using our "optional" client. Will wait to hear what the response is from my reply, but if that is the attitude, then I won't be buying anything else from here.

Ixamyakxim: Well that's disappointing...
Update, I have just tried and the main file link now works. The DLC link however still shows 404 not found. Will check again tomorrow.

Yup, it's fixed and I sent like 10 emails to GOG, it works for about two hours now.

Thank you for taking care of this. I am sure your emails did the trick, or at least helped a lot.
I don't have the game yet (too expensive for me), but I'm glad it's solved for other people. And I will buy it eventually.

Pro-tip: Don't install to a folder with a '.' in it like me (e.g. GOG.com). Some of the graphics don't load properly and you get mysterious red question marks all over.

Yes, thanks for mentioning it. Somehow health bars disappear if there is a dot in the path. I am still looking in our code why is that...

The dot issue happens with some older games too so don't feel bad :)

Tip, don't use special characters or spaces in paths ever. Just because windows allows you to doesn't mean it is in any way advisable. Much the same as never install games in program files or the 86 version. Its just all kinds of problems.

Cheers for being on top of things. Hopefully the fix for the DLC issue will follow soon.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the default folder GOG installers used to install games in. And in Program Files too.
I remember creating a "GOG" folder on my games partition and pointing the installer to it when I first installed a GOG game.
