So the original of the first game is just "gone" gone now I guess? Not even included with this?

Just noticed as well! Weird that the OG second game is still available (possibly not for long). Had to check my library and yeah the store page for the first game is straight up wiped. If it's not bundled with the remaster like they did for Baldur's Gate: Original Saga then someone, somewhere messed up royally.

I'm probably going to be getting the 1+2 remaster on Xbox anyway, but the original experience should remain on GOG for all-time. It's complete nonsense to delist stuff like this.

If someone recreated the Mona Lisa painting and did a fantastic work that's better in every aspect, doesn't mean that the original should be removed and discarded. It just boggles the mind how ANY art can be treated. Video games are art and so far, there are less than 1% of publishers and even developers who think of it as such.

Guess it probably comes down to contracts and all... so much for game preservation.
If someone could please let the thread know if the original versions are included as extras, that would be really helpful.

It seems so. When it was removed, the original store page used to say Square Enix has temporarily removed this title from sale to work on some important updates. Please check back soon!
I guess "temporarily" can mean forever...
Was checking my GOG library and for some reason my copy of the original Soul Reaver has the "Soon" tag next to it.

When I get home I should probably order that Legacy of Kain cartridge for the Evercade just to have a physical copy along with my offline installers.

Original Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 should be restored to complete series. Remake is only a plus to anyone who cares.

ReynardFox: Figures. Thanks.
I assume the ones behind it figured the options to switch between o.g graphics and new graphics was more then enough was why they didn't include at least the first one given the second game is still up at least for now anyway won't be surprised if it vanishes soon too

Also you are welcome

The original was gone years ago. But yeah, they should put it to anyone who bought the remaster.

It's not a remake.
Common sense alert: GOG can't force publishers to keep games up for sale. If you don't already own a title that's been removed but wanted it, that's on you.
