Okay, I guess we read it differently!

KasperHviid: It looks quite fun. One thing that irks me, though, is the way the description let almost every puncation start a new paragraph. I've seen this writing style a lot online, and too me it just looks weird, like something aimed at very young kids learning to read.
Or bad localization, which does happen a lot with these.

TheGrimLord: Alright, time to open this can of worms. (...)

KasperHviid: Sorry, but I think you misunderstood his point. He wasn't objecting to giant boobs. He was objecting to giant boobs beeing poorly drawn. In the case of the teaser image, there were some obscure gravity dragging the boobs sideways.
You do know that Kagura works with small indie doujin circles right? These are not big name companies, so you can't always expect good art. I personally don't see an issue with it and have seen far worse.

That being said, my main issue here is that a gay man who isn't interested in this kind of content anyway, doesn't have a filter that he can use to remove it from his view. That seems to be what all of this stems from. Smollest Light or whoever the heck on GOG staff that reads this, please get the filters out as soon as possible because this is becoming a mess every time someone in the staff posts an adult game, especially if it is a Japanese adult game. Obviously there's a resistance to it and it would be better if people could filter it out.

This is not rocket science.

Really? Nice to know. Don't really know much about Kagura. But it's not that I think the odd gravity is a dealbraker in any way ... just noticable enough to deserve a comment. I mean, I noticed it too. But with all the hate the games recieve here, I guess it can be hard to critique them in any way without it being seen as just more generic hatred. Which is a shame, because it is kind of hard to judge which games are worth your time and which are not, so some serious critique would be nice.

TheGrimLord: First of all, being a gay man, this kind of content is not made for you.
I'm a heterosexual man, and even though I am not his target audience, I can say that in my opinion, Tom of Finland knew how to hold a pen. Why couldn't mqstout express himself about what he perceives to be bad art if he wants to, even if he is gay and is not the target audience of this game?

mqstout: While I generally have no problems with the "anime boob games" that have been releasing... C'mon, artists. Have you seen boobs before? That teaser image can't happen. They don't grow out of the side like that. Either they're squished from the bed, or gravity is pulling them down. That shape doesn't happen.

People mock -- rightly so -- the comic book images that show the face, boobs, and butt all at the same time while the character's looking away (see: Hawkeye Initiative). These are the same thing.

Maybe there'd be less resistance to them if they weren't all drawn as "two honeydews placed on a shelf no matter the position".

[Written by a gay man. When your art's badly-drawn enough to make a gay man pay attention to it...]

EDIT: It's Hawkeye Initiative, not Project.
I get what you mean, but some anime doesn't really care about real physics or realistic looks, not all comics either.

Well the Hawkeye initiative is one of those silly, Sexism everywhere muh soggy knee! things.
I don't think anyone wants to drag that into H.

The cartoon character's lying on pillows compared to your kneeling photo not that reality matters that much with these games.
Whatever next? Complaining the eyes are too big?

There is a difference between art that is badly drawn and art that some think is bad morally and confusing the two.

Orkhepaj: underage as dangerous term :O
avatar
TheGrimLord: Let me ask you this. When should the term "underage" ever pop up in a forum for discussing computer games? Why should we ever be using the term, period? If we're talking about a younger character, we say "you play as a young boy or a young girl." There's no need to bring up their age in any other format. Perhaps a teenage boy or a teenage girl. An adolescent. The term underage is only referenced to accusations of pedophilia and though you are just a troll, you might be pushing a bit too hard. In other words, knock it the fuck off. I understand you don't have anything better to do, but I do play and review these kinds of games, so it's pretty damn rude and immature to make these accusations.
It makes you uncomfortable when someone notices the obvious thing that characters are constantly drawn as underage kids so we should stop talking about it. Does that mean that you also noticed that and it bothers you, but you would rather we all just ignore it and keep quiet about it so you can masturbate with a peace of mind?

TheGrimLord: This proves you don't know that much about women and should hush up when it comes to them. I know for a fact that there are women who love these types of games. I've spoken with them about it and I did an interview with one in the past who is an aspiring sex therapist. That's what she's in college for. She says that at least with eroge, it features more dialogue and well... aggressive sexual situations which a lot of women like. A lot. Especially the stuff that she admits gets her off like Kara No Shoujo in which women are raped and murdered. And guess what? It was written by a woman.

The guys and big dicks can appeal to some women, like yaoi titles in the nature of Taigano No Chi, but those are mostly for gay men. Gay men love BL and that's why Jast Blue is so popular with titles like Dramatical Murder still selling very well despite the many decades since it has released. It is a gay mystery novel.

But if you've even bothered to check pornhub lately, you'll find that the 2021 statistics for women was Lesbian porn. Women love to watch other women fuck. They even will ask for nudes from other women. I've seen it many times. And yes, married women with husbands have done this too. So don't think you know what women like when it comes to porn.
I thought we are here at the game store for games, and not sexual aids and therapy prescriptions.
I guess that you didn't get the memo. You should be claiming that these are games not masturbation material, otherwise you don't have an argument to sell these on game store.

Because it is a sexual adult content game. You don't see me judging yaoi titles because I'm not a gay man into that kind of content. I don't get it because it's not content geared to me. Most people who play these are straight guys.

huan: No, they secured a deal with one developer^Wpublisher of such games (Kagura), so they are releasing backlog of games they now have available. If they secured deal for missing Bethesda titles, we'd have few weeks of their games instead. Or in addition to those "VN"s (because one doesn't exclude the other).

Reaper9988: Boah stop with the logic! Everyone at GoG has become a Hentai addict, there is no other explanation!!!11111
So you are saying that Bethesda deal is being negotiated, and that we are just panicking when we think that GoG can only get porn game type of deals?

No sir, not just uncomfortable. People have been killed due to false allegations of this shit before. That's not a laughing matter. Yes, we should very much stop talking about it. It isn't content that should be discussed in this forum, even if people are drawing that line because of the Disney Eyes. Look it up. Also, I personally don't view the characters like this. You're definitely going to stop putting words in my mouth as well. I rarely ever get off to this stuff, I just like Japanese art in general, especially the sexual variety that artists like Sei Shoujo draw. I have an appreciation for the art and often enjoy that more than the scenes themselves.

Your second point also makes no sense. The games do come with uncensor patches that can be used at the buyer's discretion. So if a game does not have a patch, it classifies as a normal game without masturbatory or sexual content. You tried though.
Was going to have a rant at a few people but decided to ask about the actual GAME being offerred.
Anyone got it? Worth it for a game about light topic?.

This is a review for it, pretty much gets to the point. Doesn't interest me very much, so I'll skip it. It's geared at NTR audiences, which is not my thing. Other than that, it's a rather basic debt game where you pursue jobs in order to make the money back. They have been done much better, even by Kagura standards. If Evening Starter ever drops, that's a debt game I actually recommend. The dungeon crawling is taken pretty seriously and the battles can be kinda tough.
