Only reason anyone would date old people would be because of their money.

But if they already have money then why would they want to date some old wrinkled and expired corpses? Even if they are about the same age. No. No one would do that. If you got money you want to shag some young and tight bodies. If you want to shag at all at that age.

Drama grandma? You only put up with drama if they have something to offer. No one wants flappy bird drama queens.

Everyone talks like that when they're young, but you're looking at your future, kid. You'll want to be kinder to your older self, you know, the walking corpse with warts and all :).

If old age finds you single (for various reasons), maybe you'll want to date someone from your generation, that gets you, not someone younger, like in some stereotypical rich old dude situation. These are actually hard topics to approach in old age and most people just rather end up alone due to fear of being judged, or thinking it's too late for them to find anyone else (which is sad IMHO).

Can't say anything about the game or modern tropes (preferred pronouns and the like...... ), but +1 for people who want to date in their old age. Society should be more open to and supportive of these things IMHO as life expectancy increases - finding someone to share your life with is a real concern at any age.

I kinda wanted this to be what I misread it first as: Laser Daters.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about a dating sim where you skip right past cougars and into retirement homes, though. Irresolute?

It's a kind of magic.

Anyway, GOG's "curation" has really become a parody of itself. The store that became (in)famous for rejecting games for being "too niche" is now selling a Non Binary Granny Banger simulator. Which of course looks like some free flash game too, but that has pretty much become par of the course around here lately.

I have no idea what's going on with this place.

if this is anywhere near as good as dream daddy [which was /mostly/ great, bar one path] then i am absolutely in.

will do some research before buying, but have certainly wishlisted for now.

ps: dear gog, please attempt to get dream daddy onto this store, too.

Yeah, people either become widowed, divorced, separated when they get older. Being in retirement homes, they're dating each other. There's a good reason why those homes have higher reported rates of STIs in US and Canada recently. So obviously there's some sort of romantic activities going on in there.

You are funny. I'm old. That's why I said that when I was young it was acceptable to tolerate some level of drama since there were some emotions involved and maybe mutual future ahead. But when you are old, you ... well I really, I'm tired of all that nonsense. And if there's no motivation to put up with all that, then I don't. But why should you?

I realise that I am too old for any kind of relationship, not just dating. I'm not single, I'm solo and going to stay solo until I leave this planet for good. People as old as me are just no dating material in general.

Same generation and understanding are overrated. No one will understand you no matter the generation. And drama is not understanding, it's the opposite of understanding. Furthermore, menopausal women don't have any justification for drama anyway since they don't have periods.

Anyway. There's nothing wrong going solo with dignity at this age. I can handle myself and I'm not keeping anyone behind. All those crybabies who are "so lonely" need a nurse or nanny and not a relationship. Or they should grow up first before so they wouldn't be a burden to anyone. Instead of making games about mummies dating, they should make a game how to grow the f*ck up.

At least this doesn't look as barely legal as this other 'middle school' romance game released here not long ago. Nevertheless, the trend is worrying.
