gamesfreak64: i saw a game heavily inspireded by fallout classic but the engine is modern, graphics are too shiny , they look like plastic and metallic rendered dolls instead of the good ol pixelart they used to use in the good old gaming day's.

ariaspi: Are you referring to ATOM RPG? I like the graphics in this one. I believe you already know UnderRail, which I didn't play yet, but bought it this winter sale.
yes, ATOM rpg thats the game.

check this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ue-KU4GzCVg

old games were flat, no rotating, zooming or scrolling/moving with keyboard/ and or mouse, you clicked and the char. walked that direction, nowadays there is just too much motion.

check the video at: https://youtu.be/Duc5PCKUHQs?t=34m32s
the char. walks and the interior moves a long, old 2d games like fallout classic did not have that motion, you move and the map would only move in a 'flat' way, like if you move a piece of paper that is too large and you need to colour some parts of it you have to move the entire paper , its hard to explain but check the fallout classic walkthroughs, not the speedruns cause they will be moving as fast as possible, just check the normal walkthrough: movement in todays games is too heavy, thats why i avoid those and unfortuntelay many( if not all new games) move like thats.
Bought! Thanks, GOG.

BTW We need more FMV games:
Ripper, Black Dahlia, The Bunker, Dragon's Lair series, Space Ace and last but not least Night Trap (25th Anniversary Edition)
^_^

I understand what you're saying. Luckily for me, I'm not bothered by this movement freedom. Play Jagged Alliance 2, if you didn't already.

Acting performances by Joe Sowerbutts [...]

HunchBluntley: ...I hope he's a good enough actor to overcome that name.
Could be worse. Could be fAssBender.

pmcollectorboy: Or Time Gal! Or Cobra Command! Or Sewer Shark! Or Road Avenger!

ReynardFox: None of those got PC releases (though it's about time they did), but Don Bluth's games did and GOG rejected them. I'm still salty.
I feel your pain. I'm still salty too.

And yet, some people are still defending GOG's curation methods...
Unwishlisted on Steam, wishlisted here.

ariaspi: Isn't this too niche to be here? :/
You're joking, right?
avatar
pmcollectorboy: $9.09 is a very odd number.
9,19€ is even odder... :/

I don't like how gog rounds prices, not the least bit.

Haha, thought they released a new movie...
If it's a FMV, then what's with the crazy specs for it??

And why is video so difficult for multi-platform? Is it that difficult to make a cross-platform "play video" button? Or yes/no buttons for making decisions? Wow.

With this release, the people who told me that Dragon's Lair didn't belong on GOG because it "barely qualifies as a game" can officially kiss my ass.
I am actually surprised somebody does an actual FMV game in this day an age.
Just for that fact alone + it is in high resolution, it is a buy.

There are quite a few good modern FMV games around :) It's a good time to be a fan for sure!

pmcollectorboy: Or Time Gal! [...]
I would buy Time Gal - against my better judgment! :D
... Well, let's say I would buy it for the right price and if the port wasn't as jank as the SNK ones we've been getting. I bought one in good faith and I played it for maybe half an hour. :/

As for Late Shift, I liked Contradiction: Spot the Liar! better. Maybe if Contradiction gets a sequel it will find its way to GOG.

[Edit (the next day):]
Many thanks to thomq for their help with the link.

HeartsAndRainbows: As for Late Shift, I liked Contradiction: Spot the Liar!* better. Maybe if Contradiction gets a sequel it will find its way to GOG.

* GOG's premium forum technology won't accept the link, so here you go: [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contradiction:_Spot_the_Liar]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contradiction:_Spot_the_Liar[/url]!
Here you go. It's tricky because of the colon. Generally URLs need some characters to be encoded, and I'm figuring the forum software expects them to be already. Also note that italicizing or bolding has be done around the url, not within, otherwise the forum software will encode its own HTML it uses for italics and bold.

Contradiction: Spot the Liar!

Oh, and such links will get double-encoded when quoted as a reply. So if you reply to a post that has a link in it, check for any "%25" in the url tag and remove the "25" but leave the percent sign %. The link will be back to the correct encoding.

Well, I have played very well done Tex Murphy´s Tesla Effect and looking forward to upcoming Poisoned Pawn.
Maybe Her Story, which I already ow, can also count as FMV?

And that´s it, that´s all the current FMV games I know about.
