It's really nice to see Kagura Games continuing to release their titles on GOG.

I wish we'd see a few more of their previously released titles also. 'Apostle' and 'Brave Alchemist Colette' are two in particular that I'd love to see here on GOG and would buy (re-buy in my case) in a heartbeat.

And for the JRPG fans, I wouldn't automatically dismiss these games because they're hentai. Some aren't that good, but you can genuinely find some really fun JRPG's here with these Kagura Games releases.

'Apostle' for example I have over 50 hours on, and I wouldn't do that if the game itself wasn't a fun turn-based JRPG with great party members, cool abilities, character progression, item drops, super boss, et cetera.

I don't think these game threads need to be marked at 18+ either, because you get the warning if you go to the store page. Technically they're not even 18+ either unless you install the free unrated DLC here on GOG.

This RPG-maker shovelware from Kagura becomes tiresome somehow.

And sorry but for most of them the (explicted) drawings are the only thing some more work was used upon. And maybe the "story".
The maps seem to be mostly build with the big default asset libary of the RPG maker.

I mean, how many small dev teams do they got to shovel out cheaply produced RPG maker games with some explicted hentai pictures (usually not even animated) and some "voiceover" for them...

We got something like Subverse, Being a Dik and - this.

But hey, when people buy...

That's the future of this genre. Games with sex, not games strictly about sex. Like I said, look out for Future Fragments, which will be here and has 40 different endings depending on how you treat the NPC's (which the dev said you can kill) and what routes you take. GOG accepted the game and the developer confirmed this on the game's itch.io page.

We always had this "adult" market with games about more than just sex. And for the sex games, austria got one of the biggest players there with Thrixxx. Intrestingly most of their customers are couples.

But most of those games would have not very good gameplay even decades ago. Let it be fighting systems in RPGs or world map stuff.

I just want to see more quality.

Anyways, there's no doubt bad RPG Maker games out there, but there's some pretty damn good ones also. Much better than the crap you listed, which really aren't even adult games to begin with.

You admit yourself that you're not into SNES style RPGs so why would we expect anything else from your opinion here?

How many here would shit themselves with joy if the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters showed up here? Despite them being NES and SNES styled RPGs with their "very limited fighting and character systems" that would have not been very good gameplay even decades ago in your eyes...

Your comments come from ignorance (no offense intended) of the genre, and someone who's not interested in the games to begin with. I can say with 100% confidence that there's some really great RPG Maker MV games out there with great visuals for the 2D "SNES" style that feature loads of unique assets, character sprites and music, and are definitely not anything you could call "a cheap asset flip".

I'd love to talk more about the games, and get deeper into the whole topic with you or anyone else, but this will make it two posts in this thread for me, and since my posts always get downvoted I don't like posting often on this forum until the vote abusing gets stop or removed.

Look up Honey Select and Honey Select 2. When I looked at Thrixx, I laughed. Honey Select games are the most popular in Japan for a reason. If you just want simulated sex, you can't get any better than that.

The problem is GoG. Their whole shtick is that they are somehow better than Steam.
Now they redefine the meaning of DRM-free to also include DRM, and their "curation" means "release any cash grab porn game that wants to be released".

Steam can pull this porn garbage off because they don't advertise curation. They are basicaly self publishing platform so anything goes.

These low effort RPG maker and generic 3D Poser porn games are equivalent of cash grabbing loot box games or online gambling casinos.
