Dungeons, dragons, and forces of corruption.

Konung 1 + 2, the party-based fantasy RPGs where you set out to find a cursed bracelet, are now available DRM-free on GOG.com.

You are tasked with a quest no other man would dare undertake: to locate a legendary bracelet that's said to bestow upon its owner the power to rule the world. As inconvenience would have it, a great dragon guards this coveted trinket and the only way to overcome him is by putting together a mystical amulet that's broken into three pieces.

In Konung: Legends of the North you will choose among three available warriors, pick their class, and set out to explore the perilous Northern Lands, which are teeming with mythical creatures and mystical energies. In true old-school isometric RPG fashion, you must gather companions that will help you survive the hardships of these uninviting lands, upgrade your party's gear and subdue your enemies in real-time combat.
Alas, the bracelet is destined to wreak havoc and destruction upon this troubled world and in Konung II: Blood of Titans a new hero must rise and put an end to the tyranny of the dark lord whose mind got corrupted by the sinister powers of the accursed artifact. Will that be you?

Enter a fantasy world of fast-paced action and meticulous exploration, in Konung 1 + 2, DRM-free on GOG.com.
My wishlist just keeps getting longer and longer.

wolfsrain: Nice. GOG is on a russian roll. Now, let's express our will for Hard to be a God, Daywatch/Nightwatch, Hard Truck Apocalypse and a few other nice hidden russian gems.

IAmSinistar: Would certainly welcome Hard To Be A God, as anything based on the works of the Brothers Strugatsky is a must-buy for me.

Further 1C games would be good too, like Planet Alcatraz, , [url=http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/necrovision]NecroVisioN, and The Tomorrow War. GOG already has a lot of 1C games, so it's just a matter of letting them know we want more. :)
planet-alcatraz i have it on gamersgate, it was pretty cheap at sales, its a bit 3d / 3pp, so its not really my game type, the game itself is quite good.

konung 2 : also on GG for a long while
konung 1 doesnt seem to be availaible there.

instabuy cause i already owned it on GG and i was curious about part 1, part 3 seems to be more 3d like.

docbear1975: My wishlist just keeps getting longer and longer.
instabuy:
5.39 is a good price cause 2.99 is the list price of konung 2 on gamersgate. (i have it , got it quit awhile ago)
So 2 games at 5.39 is a good deal.

One note of warning: unless yo know ingame cheats, this game is incredibly hard, i managed to get max stats and good equipment and 2 guards (weaker then me) early in the game already finished me off, so if hope i can find a better cheat cause its very unlikely you will be able to finish the game without any 'cheat' or other help.

If someone who has already bought this game could upload his or her library to the wiki so that MaGog could identify the IDs of its sub-games, she would be most grateful.

EDIT: Thank you, whoever you are who did it.

tinyE: screw it

I'm just gonna wish list everything released today :P
Pretty much this. Roguelike procedural generated games excepted for me.....
Wishlisted, but where is "Konung 3: Ties of the Dynasty"? Will 1C release it on GOG?
Waited more than decade to play Konung1, finally have a chance.
Now I will wait for english version of Planet Alcatraz 2 (first one was p.cool). No need for voice acting (it was awful) but text alone will be sufficient.

Maighstir: Question for Russians: Is "konung" also an older Russian word for "king", or did 1C simply nab the old Swedish word for the same thing?

(Nowadays we usually use "kung".)
No, older russian word for "king" (in russian "царь" [tsar]) is "князь" [knyaz'], and thats how the game calls in Russia. For western release localisators just pretend, that their game about vikings.
Sorry to necro it a little bit, but I see this games on sale today. Have any one of you already played it? I have seen very bad reviews on the net, but I would like to read some reviews from first hand owners of the game on GOG. The Slavic mythology in the game is for me very interesting, but I am still not sure, if I should buy it or not, because I have very big backlog catalogue at the moment and slowly moving forward with finishing my GOG and PS3 catalogue.

And also, I hope Planet Alcatraz 1 and 2 will find their way to GOG soon as well :)

To be honest I haven't got round to playing any of the three even though I own them here and physical (big box the first one). From what I understand the third one (which isn't here) is the bad one of them. The others are isometric RPGs of an old school mentality - i.e. don't expect an automap telling you where to go, or that type of thing it will be brutally hard. At sale for £1 both of them...
As for planet alcatraz:

I think I also own Planet Alcatraz - to be honest my backlog is so long i would need several lifetimes, yes, just checked I got it off StrategyFirst before they went Steam zealots.

I've played the first Konung game, I have them both on Steam, but I'm considering re-buying them on GOG.
As already mentioned it's a difficult series, at least the first game was. As in most older games, or those inspired by them, even the earliest enemies might easily kill you, it's that sort of game.

There are guides and walkthroughs around though, like these ones on and [url=http://www.neoseeker.com/konung/faqs/101069-walkthrough.html]NeoSeeker, should you get stuck. However I do recommend reading through some FAQs about the game(s) on sites like the above, because it can be very tricky figuring things out initially.

Planet Alcatraz was a very cool and unique game, I played through my Steam version and re-bought it DRM-free on the FireFlower site. I had no idea there was a sequel though, was it released in English ?

Thanks for the recommendation. I have played Planet Alcatraz little bit at friends place, and enjoyed it, but for various reasons, I am purchasing my PC games only from GOG.

Yes Planet Alcatraz 2 is out for few years, and is even purchasable on Steam, but with a disclaimer, that english version is not supported :(

That's unfortunate, I don't know any Russian so the game would be more or less unplayable for me.
Maybe one day ...
So in the end, I have decided to buy this bundle in current sale. Not many games with Slavic background, so I have decided, to give it a go :)

Thanks everyone for recommendations and few words about it.

Now I am thinking, if I should dust of my almost forgotten Russian, or just go for it in English, and hope for more than a creepy english translation :)

Anyone, who played the games in both languages around?
