Dungeons, dragons, and forces of corruption.

Konung 1 + 2, the party-based fantasy RPGs where you set out to find a cursed bracelet, are now available DRM-free on GOG.com.

You are tasked with a quest no other man would dare undertake: to locate a legendary bracelet that's said to bestow upon its owner the power to rule the world. As inconvenience would have it, a great dragon guards this coveted trinket and the only way to overcome him is by putting together a mystical amulet that's broken into three pieces.

In Konung: Legends of the North you will choose among three available warriors, pick their class, and set out to explore the perilous Northern Lands, which are teeming with mythical creatures and mystical energies. In true old-school isometric RPG fashion, you must gather companions that will help you survive the hardships of these uninviting lands, upgrade your party's gear and subdue your enemies in real-time combat.
Alas, the bracelet is destined to wreak havoc and destruction upon this troubled world and in Konung II: Blood of Titans a new hero must rise and put an end to the tyranny of the dark lord whose mind got corrupted by the sinister powers of the accursed artifact. Will that be you?

Enter a fantasy world of fast-paced action and meticulous exploration, in Konung 1 + 2, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Geez, why not also Konung 3? O.o
Finally, game where you can play as a SLAV and meet people with Slav names.
IIRC game worked fine under modern systems but it's DRM, which worked only on Windows98, blocked the game from working state.
screw it

I'm just gonna wish list everything released today :P
Is this like Baldurs Gate?
Where is Konung 3: Ties of the Dynasty ? :D
Very nice! Got one of this series from elsewhere, but better to have it on GOG. Hope the third one gets a release here too. Instabuy!

LOL, this is totally me this morning!
I was really surprised by the price, but then looked on Steam; the second and third are only $3 each! I assume Konung 3: Ties of the Dynasty will show up here eventually for $3. (Perhaps it would have been better to bundle all three games together for $10? *shrug*)

Anyway, unrelated except for "Ko" but hopefully the "Kohan" games will show up eventually for fans. ;) I'd suggest GOG try contacting the Chaveleh bros., perhaps on LinkedIn. (unless there's evidence to suggest they wouldn't have anything to do with the properties now)

Very interesting, I'll chek it out! There is no thing as enough games with a similar setting.

It looks so similar to BG from those screens I might even accuse it of stealing BG's artwork.. (I won't, btw)

Konung 1 - Legends of the North is not available on Steam. They only have Konung 2 + 3 which both have been on sale for 0,75€ a few times already. ;)

GOG has a hard limit of $6 for old games, so I doubt they're going to sell it for any less.

My first thought too. Definitely will keep an eye on this.
