Way to expensive for an old but "re-mastered" game as those usually end up less fun & charming than the original. I would have bought the original on GOG if it was available. But now? Forget it. If the old version comes free with the "remastered" one AND with a considerable price drop or sales reduction, I might Re-reconsider it.
"Upcoming addon" means that I'll be holding off buying day one. Hopefully, by the time this product is complete in 2021, there will also be a reasonable discount.
Please properly apply regional pricing.
Right now for me it's 2 times as expensive on gog.com than on steam.
Fate edition, steam: $25.19 USD, gog.com: $49.49 USD.
Todd MacFarlane is a serious name here

Kryornis: I was installing the game but the antivirus got triggered by "Gen:Variant.Ulise.116334" in koa.exe.download. I'm assuming a false positive but you never know.
Has someone else seen that ?
nothing, not the slightest hint of

and now back to my pirate girl .... shrewd fast, impossible accurate, and a parrot... that's my trick ;)

So what's my incentive to buy here when I can get it for half the price on Steam? Seriously.
low rated
Not currently interested in the game, but some things I am wondering:
* What's the level cap? If it isn't feasibly reachable, what's the expected level one would have at the end of a 100% playthrough?
* How does the skill system work?
* Is there anything like the Spellmaker from the Elder Scrolls series?

Edit: I see a "Choose Gender" selection on a screenshot in this topic. How many choices are there?

1; I don't know. 1A: 50 - 60 ish, iirc.

2: you choose a class based on the stats you level. You can switch up at any time. There are 4 classes: warrior, rogue, mage and Jack of all trades. Your skills are based on which classes you have equipped in the FATE system.

3: no, but you can modify equipment with gems to change your strengths and weaknesses.

Edit: 4: 2

How do you level your stats?

so many interesting questions

the skill system works as following. each level you have 1 point towards survival skills such as bartering crafting stealth detect hidden and some more and 4 points for your specialization that is divided into 3 categories melee ranged and magic, the categories are point tier based so for example you need 6 points spent in one category to unlock the next tier. In these categories you will find weapon and skill/magic choices you can use during fights. At a certain point another system will unlock wich will grant you a destiny based on the points spend in different categories, full melee full ranged etc and a whole ranged of mix and match destinies ( well magic/melee magic/ranged magic melee/ranged melee ranged and of course the joker destiny which expect you to equally divide points between all categories ) the different weapons armor sets and other attributes you will find/buy/craft have a point category requirement

By killing things and completing quests. You get exp by completing complex combos. You can also get skill points from books. Pretty standard ARPG fare.

So, does the stat leveling come directly from killing things and completing quests, or do the quests just give XP that yield levels that are needed to get stat/skill points?

Edit: This post was made before I read the last post on the previous page, as I did not see that post at the time. (Blame the way GOG handles paging.)

I'm all for a good remaster, but that pricepoint has to be a joke for a game that went on sale for 4,99€ routinely.
What isn't quite clear to me here:

Is the upcoming Fatesworn DLC completely new content or re-packaged remastered content from the original DLCs?
In the first case, whatever happened to the original DLCs like Legend of Dead Kel and Teeth of Naros? Are they integrated into the main game of the remastered version, are they still to come, or were they ignored for the remaster?
