Come get your arcade kicks.

The KING OF FIGHTERS XIII GALAXY EDITION is finally here, DRM-free and 33% off until September 21, 10 am UTC.
With improved online play, a roster of 36 characters available right from the start, and a slew of addictive modes, GALAXY EDITION packs quite a punch. Kick some butt 3vs3 with a team of your own choosing, tackle Time Attack, Survival, and Trial missions, or go for the Story, exploring the trials and tribulations of Ash Crimson.

Since we're on it, go ahead and scratch that arcade itch with our grand SNK Sale, with legends like METAL SLUG, SAMURAI SHODOWN, FATAL FURY and many more going for up to 50% off until September 17th, 10pm UTC.
Wonderful addition. KOF fan, nice to see this here.
If this game has no Crossplay with Steam, then that's a colossal flaw that destroys its value.

tremere110: what exactly are the differences between the Steam and Galaxy version? I'm assuming it's not as simple as one uses Steam while the other used Galaxy right?
If there is no Crossplay, then the Steam version will have tons of players to play multiplayer with, whereas in contrast, the Galaxy version will have almost nobody to play multiplayer with and therefore the game will be virtually non-functional in multiplayer (just like so many other GOG games that desperately need Crossplay but don't have it).

Hopefully some will come in to let us know if this version of the game will support crossplay with versions from others clients.
Yeeeeeeeees! SNK please add other games on GOG :)

I remember crossplay with Steam being a touted feature when Galaxy was announced, but so far it seems like it hasn't exactly played out that way.

OH MY GOD.

Like, holy crap are you kidding me?!

SNK, dudes, shut up and take my money!

Edit: Oi Capcom? Now would be the perfect time to make your tardiness up to us by dropping Ultra Street Fighter IV on GOG.

Thank you SNK and GOG for this DRM-Free release (I prefer my games that way, so I can play'em whenever and wherever literally). I'll buy it right now!!

PS: Hey, Arc System and Capcom, what about you guys? Capcom could release a Darkstalkers collection here, cos' the franchise is practically an abandonware.

rjbuffchix: Does this release have DRM-free LAN support or are users forced to use, what in my view is multiplayer DRM, Galaxy?

nightcraw1er.488: Is this an online only game, I don't see any offline options?

Lucian_Galca: Should be offline as well.
Should be, yes, in today's gog world no idea. Will leave it, even galaxy in the title is enough to push me away from risking any money on it.
Damn, a legit GOG version, achievements, multiplayer, and everything. Getting SNK to care is quite the accomplishment.

Nice snag GOG.
**** YEAH!! Instabuy. Keep bringing them SNK fighters.
Awesome release, keep 'em coming!
Now I don't have enough money (T_T) but it's clearly wishlisted for the first good chance.
Ok, my excitement has already been quelled by slight, but definitely noticeable input lag in fullscreen, and windowed mode doesn't correct the framerate if running a high refresh rate.

Also it insta-crashes if you try to set 1920x1080 fullscreen mode.

Edit: I seem to be able to fix the speed issue in windowed fullscreen mode by adding the "-r" parameter to the shortcut. Game is fully playable now.

No idea what the 'fixed' versus 'variable' framerate options in the menu are supposed to do because they seem to have no effect.

Seconded. Capcom, if you like money, bring your fighting games to GOG - and your other games, too!
