Jazz Jackrabbit: The Complete Collection and Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Complete Collection are now available DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount until December 7, 2PM UTC. Or get them together with Epic Pinball for a neat 25% discount.
He's green, he's lean, he's got some crazy speed: Jazz Jackrabbit, the intergalactic lagomorph with the red bandana and gung-ho attitude is back, exclusively on GOG.com. Both of his bombastic outings were hailed as platform shooter classics back when they were first unleashed upon the world, partly thanks to their tight mechanics and vibrant visuals and partly for their swanky protagonist and addictive soundtrack.

The GOG.com edition of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 can also come pre-bundled with the incredible JJ2+ mod. Packing years of dedication from the Jazz Jackrabbit community, expanded multiplayer features and game modes, tons of fixes, as well as tools to play (and create) the huge library of community-made content.
Download Jazz Jackrabbit 2 with the JJ2+ mod through the Beta Channels feature in GOG Galaxy or by grabbing the appropriate offline installers directly from your GOG.com account.
You can find more about Beta branches here.

If you're looking for an extra dose of platforming and pinball goodness, check out our Special Sale - but be quick, it ends December 1st, 11PM UTC!

JKeift: Thanks for the info. Are these releases running on DOSBox?
JJ1 is DOS, JJ2 is Windows; hence, my use of Wine for the latter.

MrAlphaNumeric: You're probably in the minority my friend, at least when it comes to GOG customers.

Ha! I didn't pick up on that... good one. I could actually use one of those irl too :P
.... to be fair, though, text isn't the best form to convey sarcasm (my excuse).
The rabbit has landed for me as well. There is much content in these games, the nostalgia is great, the OST is amazing, Jack is the fastest bunny ever seen on this planet and GOG simply deserved it. Fired up the game and played it a bit. No regrets.
this forum is so broken :P I don't mean content wise I mean trying to posts period. XD

Tallima: This is ridiculous. I don't come here for old games so stop releasing so many old games and get back to releasing games people play! Jeeze Whiz!
Oh hum, there's a hint in the name of the website you visited: Good OLD Games?

I love those games, but a whopping £1.40 = 9% discount if buying JJ1 & 2 together? I'll wait for a better offer, but thanks anyway.

which means it's working as GOG intends
Oh, I waited for Jazz Jackrabbit to come here for so long! Thanks, GOG and Epic Games!
Nice, hope to see Jill of the Jungle here in the future too

Unfortunately I will have to agree. It's meanwhile normal for me that I simply wait a bit when having posted - even though my seperate posting windows has not closed - and reload the page to see if it already is posted so I can close the post window since it very often won't do this by itself. It really is getting worse and not better.

People tend to forget but that is NOT the official site name anymore.

EndlessKnight: Thank you very much GOG & Epic. I can only hope that this will lead to other Epic games such as Jill of the Jungle, One Must Fall and Solar Winds in the future. ^_^
One Must Fall 2097 was released as freeware quite a while ago, so feel free to download it if you can find it.

thesmashingone: Wow, thank you GOG and Epic Games! I've been waiting to play this for a long time now, and now I can!

One question though: Does Jack Jackrabbit include Holiday Hare '94 and '95? The description doesn't mention if this is the case.
avatar
zeffyr: I'm afraid this might be CD-ROM version, which contained '94 addon, and '95 one might be missing. Unless GOG bundled it in its own way. But a word 'collection' might as well implicate my wrongful thinking.
the bundles contain all official released content... except the GBA version, nobody wants the GBA version.
avatar
pmcollectorboy: Is Secret Files also included?
yes

(This really has been declared as freeware by the devs. It's NOT so called abandonware)

Maybe a stupid question. But is there a way to revert the JJ menu back to the normal one without christmas theme and snow?

The menu changes to the snowy one in September/October - January, so you might try time travel ;)

Or if you don't have a time machine handy and are unwilling to wait for the inexorable march of seconds to pass, you could try changing your system clock ;)

I'm not sure which JJ you are talking about anyway....

Well it is that time of the year so you may have to change the PC Date Clock to do that. Typically games with Holiday and Time Sensitive Events are coded to look at the clock on Computer to activate them. I'd just enjoy it and let it go away after whenever it is it's supposed to go off if that's the case...

mcphail: I've never heard of these games, which makes me feel as if I've been living in a cave!

Is the first game worth playing or is all the love for the sequel? I'm on Linux so the 2nd one isn't an option for me.
Both are worth playing. I couldn't get myself to play Jazz 2 because I never got to play the full fledged original. I was 11 when I did and never got to own a 16 bit system until 1999. And because of that I can now go ahead and do something I must get out of my system....

WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO ****ING LONG EPIC TO RE-RELEASE THESE GAMES?! I HAVE WAITED SINCE A WEE YOUNG LAD TO PLAY JAZZ JACKRABBIT IN IT'S FULL GLORY! I HAD TO BLOODY PIRATE YOUR PINBALL GAME AFTER FINDING ANDROID ON DISK AT A FLEA MARKET!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!? RELEASE MORE OF YOUR STUFF DAMN IT!

NOW SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Ok, I'm better now....

And happy...

I will have these games tomorrow after payday....

^_^

Oh also. I have an important note for GOG. I have a copy lying around somewhere on my hard drive of the Original Android (Not the Super Version). Do you want a copy of this to publish? Sorry but my disk is packed up in storage...
