Join the ranks of the three great armies engaged in an epic struggle! Iron Harvest, an RTS game set in the alternate reality of 1920+, is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM. After the end of the Great War Europe still haven’t healed all of its wounds. A new conflict ensues, a one in which traditional warfare will meet new deadly inventions - powerful dieselpunk mechs.

With each Iron Harvest copy bought on GOG.COM comes a unique digital art in hi-res prepared by the 1920+ universe creator – Jakub Różalski. Also, be sure to visit our partner page, where you’ll see all the artist’s favorite games, as well as stay tuned for the interview with the illustrator himself coming soon on GOG.COM.

zeffyr: Kickstarter Deluxe Edition backers will get GOG's Standard Edition and there are no plans for separate upgrades.

mattymuc: Then this was the last King Arts game I supported.
I supported it from the beginning, payed extra for the Deluxe Edition and then only got the Standard Edition which is not even shown as owned in GOG library.
After devs and I exchanged messages back in June devs posted this blog update to clarify what goes into different editions.

To be frank - I'm also disappointed that devs treated us, backers, as regular customers in the way that it caused turmoil here and on Kickstarter's page...

All in all, we can only hope that devs will read it and send us an upgrade later, but it's not very likely...

Had to jump through loopholes in the past for deluxe stuff of backed games; one of the reasons why I started to seriously overthink backing; double if it smells like a glorified preorder.

Putting IH on the WL for now. Price-point is a bit much considering my current lull and oversized backlog.

... Odd... I could have sworn I already had it on my WL...
Nice trailer, thanks!

Reality check: Mechs would be ligth-armored, low-speed units, wouldn't be able to walk otherwise. A (semi-)mobile battery would be able to eliminate Mechs in large numbers. Possibly a heavy MG would be able to do the same.

Also, mechs like these would cost a ton (as in resources/money and time to built -- pneumatics is some fine engineering) and would be a rare thing to be seen on the battlefield. Must be heavily protected, as a fleet centered around a battleship...

mechmouse: Also no free Sudden Strike for Kick Starter backers ;-(
Actually we should get it as well: storepage says:

If you already purchased Iron Harvest, the gift is also yours - the serial key for Sudden Strike 4 can be found in your GOG.COM’s library (please access it through the Internet browser).

Yet I don't see it in my Library, there's no usual 'Serial keys' submenu either...
According to one of the Iron Harvest devs or community managers on Discord(?) "you should have separate download links for the OST and Artbook on your library page" with the redeemed Backer-Standard Edition.

Can anyone confirm?

Could be referring to the library page on the Kingart website though...

Yup, they are in Kingart's library.

So, just to be crystal clear:
There is no "Extras" section with the OST, Artbook and Manual in the GoG library?
Does this game have good base building (like Warcraft / Starcraft / Command & Conquer)? Or is it more a micromanagement game?

It has base building. Though I would much more compare it to the first Dawn of War game plus Company of Heroes.

There is only Artbook in GOG's library. OST is in Kingsart's library. And manual is also there, but it's just a reference card about epilepsia and such, there's no proper instruction in PDF (so far).
Anything changed since beta? That was so meh.

Is it the artbook in your case ? - Galaxy states that its the artbook, but after downloading it, I only have an archive with wallpapers

You're right! It's just one wallpaper in different sizes. The proper arbook is in Kingsart's library only then. Bummer.

I haven't played RTS in a while (~ StarCraft II times; an iteration I was disappointed from because of big expectations). A game or three to recommend? (perhaps a question to all?)
