This conversation was a waste of time from the start, as amok is one of the most rabbid SJWs on these forums. I think at one point he even denounced Duke for sexism and general insensitivness (sadly, because of inadequate search here I can't confirm it).

Honestly I was afraid that it would be much worse, as in censoring lines of dialog, enemies descriptions / appearance, etc... if it's just censoring a soap bottle and removing a text that you wouldn't be able to see without using a cheat, it's not that much.

Also there seems to be a huge disconnect between the publishers, 3D realm , who seems to be in full "crawl on the ground begging for forgiveness"-mode and the devs themselves who seems to more in "we are only doing what our publisher forces us to do"

you can't confirm it, because it is a complete and utter lie. I have never said any such thing, nor do I believe it. I rather like DukeNukem games, as I like most FPS from that time. Which is also why I like Iron Fury, Dusk, Amid Evil and so on.

It can't be that surprising that GOGers who value the concept of ownership might have a problem with developers reaching into their game library to remove offensive content post-release based on the whims of another community. The site is built on the idea that 'you buy it, you own it'.

Ah, i see... Well, at least while i converse, i try to see the point of the other side(s) and even pick up anything solid, good, or interesting, that might be found there, for myself. I should have understood that earlier, though; (self) contradiction, constant and hard, is the hallfmark of an SJW. And he is a Steam lover too, lol!

Too bad, though. The game is really good and i intended to absolutely buy it. But i never support this practice (altering any type of in-game content POST purchase and launch, removing or censoring stuff), especially whenever innocent people are to be harmed (the developer, who among other things, advised REAL fans to "somehow" get the UNCENSORED version, if they so much want it)!

Why publishers never learn? They should allow independed "censor"/"uncensor" patches to circulate, to be applied over the game on individual players' discretion. This way, everybody would have been pleased and praising them, instead of infighting and bashing. But as i said, the real isuue here, is for one team of frenetics, to instigate their own twisted vision, over the entire gaming culture and gamers themselves. It was never about equality and same rights, alas; only aggressive expansion.

Best takeaway from the thread so far: the company behind Ion Fury is different from the one of Bombshell and the game seems to be a better one.

Moderation here has been next to nil for a while now, with very little in relation to GOG's own CoC. In response to your other point though -

Ion Fury is miles better than Bombshell, super smooth, looks and sounds great too. Only gripes are a lack of enemies and weapons. If it wasn't for Blood Fresh Supply and Amid Evil, Ion Fury would have been sat on that FPS throne for 2019...with Doom Eternal waiting in the shadows. I really like it, shame the only thing people are talking about is out of game topics though.

To be more precise - developer team behind Ion Fury is different (as I understand they are from Build Engine modders community). 3DRealms - is a publisher and owner of both games.
