Kid, you're being hunted.

INSIDE, a surreal, thought-provoking puzzle/platformer about an enigmatic boy making his way through a bleak industrial complex, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 25% launch discount.

Everyone is out to get you. Those who don't seek to harm you, march around lifelessly, like puppets hanging loosely from the strings of a cruel god. You are scared, confused, alone. But you are determined. And with the help of some strange devices, your desperate reflexes, and your quick wit, you may yet manage to overcome all obstacles and uncover the truth behind this mysterious project that seems to be at the core of this dark journey.

Escape your pursuers and overcome the puzzles that prevent you from finding out what's hiding INSIDE, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 25% launch discount will last until November 27, 10:59 PM UTC.

In the press:
"The universe INSIDE depicts is one the eeriest, most captivating settings I've ever encountered in a game."
9.5/10 - Polygon

"INSIDE expands on the concepts and scope of its predecessor in wildly creative ways [..]. This is one hell of a followup."
5/5 - Giant Bomb

takezodunmer2005: Fuck Denuvo with a rusty serrated edge...I'm glad they jettisoned that bloatware from the game, unfortunately, DOOM hasn't fared very well as the load times are measured in fuckin' MINUTES 2-5 Main Menu, plus, 1-2 minutes to load the fuckin' game, double that time if you want to use snap map! 2-5 min MM+2-5 min MsmM+1-2 minutes to load Snap Map!

And yep, insta-buy!

Bonsewswesa: We still don't know if they have removed it or not. Sometimes developers just 'de-activate' the drm software while leaving it intact in the game files, ready to cause problems again if you're unlucky.
Yes, this is true, I just hope you're incorrect on this one though! But no matter, it's DL/Installing as we speak! d-('-' d )
This isn't really my style, though I loved Limbo, bit I'm tempted to buy it just because they're a Denuvo victim who managed to pull their head out and release it as it should've been to begin with.

If it had come here at launch I would've bought it. The delay let me realize this isn't a Limbo sequel like I had hoped when I saw who was making it.

I'll probably still buy it, at some point, but not when I was just assaulted by a sale with another (likely GOG and Steam both) soon to come and then ended up spending way too much on Pokémon games for the family DS collection
so great this is finally here on GOG! instabought!

rgnrk: Well, right now it doesn't look very good.

If I close all network activity in my firewall, the game crashes at startup.
If I close access to internet for inside.exe in my firewall, the game crashes at startup.
If not, the game runs.

So maybe there are still bits of drm inside.
Well... I'm a bit worried about this... GOG, are you 100% sure it's DRM-Free ?!
Very happy to see this and Limbo made available on GOG.
Top notch!

We cannot reproduce that, the build was tested on a completely offline machine and no issues were found. Could you write a Support ticket with as much details as you could provide?

That crash is most likely by courtesy of Galaxy. See here for more information.

That's because an offline machine without a firewall will have no problems connecting to localhost. A machine with a firewall that restricts access to localhost however will make all GOG games with Galaxy features crash at startup.

This is a known bug in Galaxy that I have reported months ago. Support said that they don't consider it a bug though.

Yeah, I also had problems with that. You need to enable the game to connect to localhost. So if you are just "lazy" and block all access with the firewall program you are in trouble. Pretty annoying. But it is not like that is just a Galaxy problem, I had that with games that do not rely on Galaxy as well. Just shows that programmers did not think about people who might not want to give their games acces to the internet.

Lobuno: Game is available at steam in about 14 languages or so... Here on GOG only english??? Why???

1 No language seem to be used apart from the menus
2 I have the 12 language in the settings page of the game, so... using Galaxy though.

Also, I'm around half of the game and I'm loving it. It's similar but different to Limbo and they did a fine job on the world building!

whoa, looks like an awesome game, very immersive. wishlisted

CharlesGrey: It's more of an atmospheric, side-scrolling Adventure game. The focus is on exploration and various puzzle mechanics, but there's not much precise jumping required.

It's basically Limbo on steroids. Same core game mechanics, but it's even darker and more intense, and with overall higher production values. I've watched a Let's Play of the game, and I think it's actually a bit too weird and depressing for my tastes. But if you like somewhat heavy and thought-provoking game experiences, you might enjoy it.
Heavy and thought-provoking is fine, depressing not so much. Thanks for the heads up, and info.
A bit into the description I was asking myself if this game was made by the same people who made Limbo. Was right :D
Might give it a try at some point! Hope it's at least as engaging as Limbo!

Your mileage may vary, as they say. If you haven't already tried Limbo, get that one first, since it's currently cheap. If you enjoy it, you could still pick up Inside afterwards.

I think Limbo was a bit easier to swallow because it feels like a surreal nightmare. Inside, in comparison, feels more like a dystopian version of our own world. It's a well made game, but it's definitely on the disturbing side, no casual entertainment.

Johnathanamz: Can any of you test this? That Denuvo actually makes you lose around anywhere from 10FPS to 30FPS?

If any of you have purchased INSIDE on Steam and now on gog.com, do a FPS test for the gog.com version and Steam version of INSIDE.
Extremely unlikely because that would mean some of the games released with Denuvo would've had to have been extremely well optimized because Mad Max and MGSV ran like a dream and they had Denuvo as well.

That said, I hope someone tested this by now because the latest patch removed Denuvo from the Steam edition as well.
There you have it guys. :)
