So this is like battlemage, forget it then, that was up there in top ten of worst game of all time.

Shit, why does this have to be FP perspective? Gonna wishlist it for now, I guess, because it does look pretty damned impressive.

Played Battlemage until 2/3, for this game I only saw a youtube review.
I'm sure the games do not compare exactly because this does not have convoluted weapon-upgrades. But as far as I saw, the playing sure feels annoying. Where in Battlemage you always had to hold-mouse-release on every fucking shot this makes you wonder why you don't feel anything while shooting.
All the while where the background looks absolutely stunning which makes it even more frustrating.
As the youtuber said, it's like made with two different teams.
Everyone making even a test-level in unity of a FPS sure must know what you must do to let the player feel like he is firing a gun. Starting with the sound and ending with the reaction (crying, decals, ...) of the one you're shooting at. It's like you're making a text adventure with no text. Seriously, watch the end portion of the youtube review and put all of this in the book of how not to do enemies in an FPS

From reading about it, apparently this game is pretty bad. Shame we have this but not Mages of Mystralia.

No key rebinding, narrow FOV, AI as dumb as a sack of hammers topped of with religion. Why do they even bother to release it for PC in this state? Hoping for some money to tap the vastly bigger pool of PC gamers when compared to consoles? Ha, ha. Pass.

I did like battlemage enough to play the whole campaign and then some. Don't own 2560 monitor either. Might get this too. Not day 1 but eventually.

You're lucky to be in the UK and not in continental Europe then, otherwise your GOG library would be pretty slim indeed.

Basically what I was thinking. "Recognizable creatures, but with scars, and bone armor!" does not not scream "biomechanical". And the environments don't look all that outlandish compared to any number of other video games.

Certainly one of the most aesthetically impressive games I've seen in a long time. Hard to tell what it offers beyond basic FPS gunplay from the clips though. Given how much thought's gone into everything else, I hope they saved some for the gameplay.
