The release you’ve been waiting for is here! Baffling with a medieval-inspired art style, Inkulinati is now available on GOG – with a -10% launch discount (the offer ends on February 7, 5 PM UTC). That’s not all though; you can also get the Supporter Pack, containing an artbook, soundtrack, wallpaper, and even more!

Inkulinati a turn-based strategy game with a proper dose of comedy; straight from medieval manuscripts. As a player, you’ll take your turn in duels filled with unexpected tactical depth and a solid amount of humor. You’ll embark on an ever-changing journey, build your own bestiary, defeat medieval superstars and collect perks to unleash special powers. It’ll be your goal, to become a master of the Living Ink, grab your quill and build a unique strategy, so that you can be named the greatest Inkulinati of all time!

The game’s medieval-inspired art style will surely capture your attention right away – after 700 years, those bizarre art pieces came alive in a form of video game, to show that medieval people were just like we are nowadays; they laughed from the same silly things we do, from sword-wielding rabbits, dogs with spears, and much, much more. What an odd, sophisticated, original, silly, fun, absurd and yet delightful art-style this one has. Traditionally, I can't stand these mediocre card-type kind of games that really should remain in some dark corner, burning. I'm buying this!

Watch out, Inkulinati even features slimy ones that both murders and cuddles... art.

Since I've played the demo, I couldn't wait for the full release (yes, it's early access, but even at this stage it has full campaign + skirmish mode and hot-seat multiplayer). One of the few indie games, that I'm genuinly happy that they're released also on GOG.

It's really good game, not too complicated, but also not simplistic, clear and quite original rules, good idea for the game mixed with solid execution. From my side - I totally recommend this one.

Kind of games that should be made more, has that "unique" aura all around it.
Unfortunately, goes into "interesting, but don't have time for it" bin for me, at least for the time being.
Considering the lovely art style, I guess we can hope Pentiment to be the next "similar" release. ;)

I agree about the initial rejoicing. But not about the instabuying, unfortunately, as there's more toilet humor just in the trailer than in everything the Pythons have ever done combined. I'd love to play something that would have not only the style but also the wits of the Circus. A game drawn in this style, inspired by MP and the Holy Grail, that would be something! :-)

Means I can buy the supporter pack which I wouldn't buy usually.

As much as I love the Monthy Pythons, this game just went the correct route : full inspiration !
