Impossible is nothing. If not fun!

Impossible Creatures, an outrageous RTS that lets you "mesh" around with animal DNA and build your own mutant army, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now with the 40% launch discount.

Noah put two of every animal in the Ark. This was cool at the time, but now along comes Rex Chance, a '30s war correspondent, curious to see what happens when you smush two animals into one. Why? Because DNA fusion is fun, and because he thinks there is great untapped potential in these strange pairings. Unfortunately, so does Upton Julius, the megalomaniac villain who stole the mysterious Sigma technology for himself, and is now threatening to conquer the world with his own army of mutant beasts.

Collect animal DNA, build your own unique units, and defeat Julius and his evil lieutenants in 15 different maps stretching across jungles, deserts and snow-ridden landscapes that make up the mysterious Isla Variatas. Create your own menacing winged scorpion, adorable kangaroo-shark, angry horned bear or any other Impossible Creature you desire - the possible combinations are only limited by your own imagination (or gross-out threshold). Then, go online and test your DNA-fusing skills against other wannabe-mad scientists in three different multiplayer modes.

Play God in this 3D hybrid of strategy and creativity, as your Impossible Creatures march forward, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now with a launch discount that will last until next Thursday, December 3rd, 1:59 PM GMT.
You know, I've always thought that "animal mutations" would be such a cool idea in a game, especially an RPG, ie a human being could get Tiger claws as replacements for his hands, making him have more melee damage, having Fish gills to breathe underwater, etc. About the only game I know that does this is a roguelike called Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead.
Once again, I'm able to combine a hornet with a grizzly bear and laugh my immature little arse off at the result. Thanks, GOG!

ReynardFox: Sorry people who like these games, I'm not able to quit harping on this so long as GOG deliberately snubs high quality arcade/console style games that I and others want.
Too bad this got downrepped, as it provides a startling insight into gog's bizarro release policies of indie titles. Sure, let's see how well it fares on Steam. If it does well, we can still release it a few months down the road when everyone but the most ardent DRM-refuseniks bought their copy on Gaben's rentware service, because our local loyalists surely won't mind double dipping so long as they can support TEH DRM-FREE REVOLUTION™!

I just wanted a "Good Old Game".
I loved this game as a kid, its a shame I suck at RTS but the campaign was nice. I remember having to cheat a lot on resources in the console commands lol
It was very funny when I was playing this game in 2003.

So now that we have Impossible Creatures... Where's Gene Wars? It can't be compatibility issues since it's a pure DOS title. Bring on more Bullfrog! ... Pretty please?

Well, it might not be technical compatibility issues, but it might be publisher compatibility issues (EA). :P

Similar to what Grargar said, I wouldn't be surprised if EA didn't care about GOG or their backlog much anymore (at least not wanting to devote their time/money to figuring out the rights, like Activision).

Sadly they aren't even releasing more old games on Origin it seems.

tinyE: Zebra + Donkey

This is a real animal.
I think 'zebrass' sounds much better than 'zonkey'. Or perhaps 'donkbra'? =P

This has gotta be one of the weirder digressions I've been a part of for a while...

...Oh, and MANSSIERE! (I misspelled it earlier. =D )
