Impossible is nothing. If not fun!

Impossible Creatures, an outrageous RTS that lets you "mesh" around with animal DNA and build your own mutant army, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now with the 40% launch discount.

Noah put two of every animal in the Ark. This was cool at the time, but now along comes Rex Chance, a '30s war correspondent, curious to see what happens when you smush two animals into one. Why? Because DNA fusion is fun, and because he thinks there is great untapped potential in these strange pairings. Unfortunately, so does Upton Julius, the megalomaniac villain who stole the mysterious Sigma technology for himself, and is now threatening to conquer the world with his own army of mutant beasts.

Collect animal DNA, build your own unique units, and defeat Julius and his evil lieutenants in 15 different maps stretching across jungles, deserts and snow-ridden landscapes that make up the mysterious Isla Variatas. Create your own menacing winged scorpion, adorable kangaroo-shark, angry horned bear or any other Impossible Creature you desire - the possible combinations are only limited by your own imagination (or gross-out threshold). Then, go online and test your DNA-fusing skills against other wannabe-mad scientists in three different multiplayer modes.

Play God in this 3D hybrid of strategy and creativity, as your Impossible Creatures march forward, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now with a launch discount that will last until next Thursday, December 3rd, 1:59 PM GMT.

Judas Iscariot is a trustworthy individual who would never betray anyone.
Roarrtastic game! ^_^
Wait... is this even the same version as the new steam edition? Why am I so confused about this game?
edit: of course it is. Excuse me while I go scream at some coffee.

thanks nordic and gog for another fine release!
One of those old games ive never heard of :D
Sweet! This is a great game, spent a lot of time as a kid playing this, and now that I'm older I appreciate the pulpy feel of the game even more. Highly recommend it, I just recently reinstalled it from disc myself.
I see Dr. Insano used to be a game developer.
Omg... it's Impossible Creatures!

I've been asking for this since I got here, I can hardly believe it.

You've won today Gog, but I'll be back.

ReynardFox: Oh look at that, a strategy game, don't see those too often around here.

Other genres exist GOG, just because you don't play or understand them doesn't make them any less worthy of release here.

Sorry people who like these games, I'm not able to quit harping on this so long as GOG deliberately snubs high quality arcade/console style games that I and others want.
Impossible Creatures did have 1153 votes on the Wishlist.

tinyE: Wait wait wait....not so fast.

I just tried to combine a beaver with a duck, make it warm blooded and yet lay eggs.

The game told me that was too 'impossible' even for a computer game.
Hahaha, that's so silly. Such a weird animal couldn't possibly exist, even in fiction! :)
Next thing we know, you'd want to give it poisonous claws...

I've got nothing against the game itself or its release here, it's just been strategy and sims almost exclusively for ages, and I know GOG recently rejected a vertical shooter from Cave, one of the most respected developers in the genre.

Really? That's a shame - I have a lot of respect for Cave, so hopefully they'll make their way here eventually. Cave has made a ton of great games in the genre that would go very great with the titles already available here.

Yep, but GOG doesn't think enough people outside Japan know of them so they don't see the reason to bring games like Mushihimesama here.

And I'm calling them out on their blatant ignorance of genres like Shmups and Fighters. If GOG thinks that not enough people know of or will buy genuinely good stuff like this, it not only makes them sound greedy by dismissing long tail sales but it also risks creating a self fulfilling prophecy, where in no one buys games of a genre that a store never really tries to support.

tokisto: I never played or heard about this one before, but it got my attention...
So Judas, do you know if runs fine on Wine? ;p Thanks

JudasIscariot: WINE 1.8-rc1 is my current WINE version.

You will be able to play the single player game just fine...
I can also happily confirm it runs fine and dandy on Mac via Wineskin. I didn't even have to do any special setups for it. It just ran right out of the box. Got all graphic options cranked up and it seems to be running like a charm on my Mac mini. No glitches or anything. Online stuff appears to be working, too. :)

For a moment I thought you are referring to the developer of After Reset who sell his other business to fund the game. So I am wondering what is dishonest about him.
