Impossible is nothing. If not fun!

Impossible Creatures, an outrageous RTS that lets you "mesh" around with animal DNA and build your own mutant army, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now with the 40% launch discount.

Noah put two of every animal in the Ark. This was cool at the time, but now along comes Rex Chance, a '30s war correspondent, curious to see what happens when you smush two animals into one. Why? Because DNA fusion is fun, and because he thinks there is great untapped potential in these strange pairings. Unfortunately, so does Upton Julius, the megalomaniac villain who stole the mysterious Sigma technology for himself, and is now threatening to conquer the world with his own army of mutant beasts.

Collect animal DNA, build your own unique units, and defeat Julius and his evil lieutenants in 15 different maps stretching across jungles, deserts and snow-ridden landscapes that make up the mysterious Isla Variatas. Create your own menacing winged scorpion, adorable kangaroo-shark, angry horned bear or any other Impossible Creature you desire - the possible combinations are only limited by your own imagination (or gross-out threshold). Then, go online and test your DNA-fusing skills against other wannabe-mad scientists in three different multiplayer modes.

Play God in this 3D hybrid of strategy and creativity, as your Impossible Creatures march forward, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now with a launch discount that will last until next Thursday, December 3rd, 1:59 PM GMT.
It looks like fun, but Id like to know, is this a game for which you have to learn every bit of strategy for ? Im not really a fan of those too complex games, but if its anything like lets say BattleRealms or Empire Earth Id like to give it a go.

thebream: Nice release, didn't expect it at all. Will other Relic Games be available on GOG soon?
I think the dawn of war series was taken by someone else, and Homeworld belongs to the borderlands guys, so I doubt those will make it here. Wich is a real pity.

Edit: ninja'd by the cat, and with far more detail to boot. This is embarrassing.

JudasIscariot: And this is with the French version, right? :)
I guess I’m beginning to suffer from lack of sleep…
And that’s because of *you*, GOG!

Just make a crocodile/lobster hybrid army and massacre everyone with it. You won't regret it.

Dawn of War franchise is owned by Sega and Homeworld belongs to Gearbox (aka Borderlands devs).

Edit: Why do I bother. The cat got us all :)

Honestly, it's not super hard, but you do have to build your army yourself. Over the campaign, you'll keep gathering DNA of more and more animals, and you'll have to make your own units. What kind of units you will have available will depend on what you design, so it does take a bit more than the usual RTS as you should spend a bit of time thinking if you want tons of cheap units, tanks, strong flying elephant wasps, eagle chameleon scouts, or whatever. But while potentially complex making the army is half the fun of the game and it isn't very difficult, IMO, so I do recommend it.

I love games that let you be creative and give you freedom in your choice.
And if its wacky and doesnt take itself too serious thats a plus.
Will get it.
