Lightning pace, heart-pounding shooting action, all tied together in a neat neon-tinged roguelite package. HYPERGUN places you squarely in the boots of DevTech Lab’s latest intern, armed with the most modular gun known to man. Blast away with 150 weapon modules across procedurally generated levels filled with alien enemies and towering bosses. Oh, and deal with office politics as a lowly intern.

HYPERGUN, available on GOG! Complete with a 10% launch discount till August 30th, at 1pm CEST
This looks interesting; wishlisted.

Very nice visuals, it's shame I can't stand FPS.

So, GOG. What is the agenda with this game? Anyone you'd want to apologise too? FCK something?

Uggh. A game aimed squarely at the steam crowd. Just a mass of colour and movement with crafting and roguelike.

I hope it's not yet another lazy RNG rogue shite recycled gameplay where you're repeating the same thing over, and over, and over again... Wishlisted for now as I'm a sucker for the graphics/FPS genre! :)

EDIT: If the trend of matching steams releases keeps gog competitive/get more IPs/Indie devs, then so be it; gog's major advantage is that they actually curate their games!

A bit disappointed this indie FPS suffers from the same issues you see in other indie FPS games: gunplay is weak, not enough impact effects like blood spurts, smoke, sparks, flashes, enemies don't flinch, guns don't seem to react to being fired, everything is too muted, except in some filters, colours, shaders and level lighting. And then there's nothing else there.
I can open up Halo from 2001 and it'll have aliens spurting out comical amounts of purple blood, flinch to every shot they take in manners that affect their accuracy, particle effects fly all around, and guns react with every shot you make.
Not to mention Doom, Quake, FEAR etc etc.
And those games had all sorts of other things on top of those gameplay mechanics; proper levels, stories, enemy variety and pretty great AI.
If an indie dev plans to make an fps and focus on nothing but the mechanics, and let some proc gen algorithm deal with levels, with no story, then they better make sure that gameplay is polished, crunchy, beefy-- satisfying as the main and only core in their package.
I doubt we'll be setting the world on fire with another roguelite FPS, but it's visually appealing and the price is quite reasonable. After watching some gameplay video it looks fun enough to try. Wishlisted.
No problem with this game being here, but the release feels lackluster given this is the only one so far this week, especially since GOG has rejected games such as Bullet Witch and Anima: The Nameless Chronicles that could have filled the gap in the release schedule.

I hope something big is planned for tomorrow... Assassin's Creed release event, perhaps? Or Bethesda games?
Now this game looks pretty cool! I checked the PCGamingWiki but I didn't see a screenshot of the Video Settings. Does anyone have that available?

Reminds me of Mothergunship. We need that game here. :)
