The power of four.

<span class="bold">Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation</span>, the cheeky sequel to the meta-JRPGs that spoof our favourite hobby, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount.

The world of Gameindustri is in peril! People are losing their jobs, creators are losing their spirit, and the spanky CPUs have gone missing. Everybody wants to get their games for free, and that's just not a sustainable business model. Now it's up to the four younger sisters of our favorite CPUs to seek them out and put the industry back on track.
Flashy special attacks, crazy transformations, and elaborate turn-based conflicts are most certainly involved, as well as a whole bunch of meta-references, inside jokes, and unexpected encounters. The Console Wars don't let up and neither can you! Not until you acquire all the fabulous pieces of customisable gear and all the game-changing Plans scattered around the world.

Try to install some stability in the world of <span class="bold">Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Don't forget to also check out the <span class="bold">DLC Pack</span> for several in-game items that will make the sisters squeal with joy!
To celebrate, the first <span class="bold">Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1</span> is 75% off for one week!
The 50% and 75% discounts will last until January 27, 4:00PM UTC.

Skysect: When I checked GOG files with my hash checksum tools seems many of them are changed . So probably a patch applied to the GOG version of the game .

mkess: Hm, ok.

Then I hope, that they will patch the Steam version, too. Would make sense, after that time. What I really hope is, that they fix the CTD's in Hyperdevotion Noire. I had to refund this game, because of the CTD's entering the disc shop.
I changed Steam files with GOG files on my PC . Everthing seems fine , achievements , time tracker etc . Steam overlay is there . So it's fine for me .
With this series I like the graphics and the references, to some extent.
I found the fighting system quite annoying and the rest of the game: just bland when it came to gameplay.. I won't extend this series from the first erpisode I already have... When it comes to tactic gameplay in an action JRPG, I think Valkyrie Profile 2 (PS2) has pretty much nailed it. The Neptunia Rebirth series? Not so much.
Still, it must be great for the people who did enjoy the NR series to get the other episodes as well.

Nice to see that you still have an interest in Gog, Retroism. Now, if you could help me with my new year's resolution of buying Freddi Fish 2 from here that'd be greeeaat.

yoshino: Interestingly we Japaneses can not buy this JRPG series on the site. namely, regionally locked.
I could see the link few hours ago, but now I can't. redirected to the gog.com/games.
I don't like to buy the series, so personally have no problem though.
Really? damn, I thought that only steam hit hard japan with its region lock :/ .

I wonder what will happen to my library when I'll move there (I'm planning to do this in a year).
I think I may know why it works on GOG. They may have also received the patch that Steam got awhile back, but that IFI reverted back from. That patch may be what the GOG version uses. It fixes many problems, but they claimed that it also introduced new ones, so they reverted it to the previous version and never released a patch since then.

The library is usually unaffected by it. Gift-Codes still work too.
I have several games which are locked in Germany and I can download them from my library without any problem.

I see, thank you. Can you tell me what happen when you get as gift a game which is censored in some way in your country? Will you be able to play the uncensored version?

As far as I know, the version of the game you get is the one the person bought who gave you the code would get if he buys the game.
So if the person who bought the code would get the uncensored version, you will have the uncensored version.
If the person who bought the code would get a censored version, you would too.

At least that's what I read here in the forums, the games are usually locked for german customers without offering a censored version so I can't say for sure.

This is completely false . With release of "Deluxe Version" a new version released but it seems only available for GOG version and Japanese language . This patch is not reverted patch . I didn't see any problem . You can try Japanese language version from Steam . It don't have "Guard Break Problem" .

INSTA-BUY!!!

Even if i do already own them on Steam. :D
If you enjoyed Re;Birth 1 you will enjoy this. However, for some reason, persistent performance issues as far as frame rate occur. I have a 750 Ti , which ran Re:1 with a very high frame rate but for some reason the frame rate is much lower on this one. Visually this one shouldn't be any more resource intensive so not sure why it runs less than optimal.
