The one console to rule them all…

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, the satirical JRPG series finally takes on Windows computers everywhere, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 takes place in the land of Gamindustry, it's a story of four goddesses also known as Console Patron Units, or CPUs, locked in a thousand year struggle, called the Console War, in which they fight each other for shares. Yup.
If that wasn't blunt enough - the Hyperdimension Neptunia series is a spoofy JRPG take on the gaming industry. The world, the characters, everything here is a little nod, a gamer-friendly meme, or just unabashed satire. But don't be mistaken, the game is far from a one-trick pony - there is plenty here for fans of the genre. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 brings a novel fighting system which combines free movement with classic turn-based RPG combat, as well as many other huge improvements in mechanics and presentation over the game originally released on the PSP.

You can also pick up the Additional Content1 DLC pack featuring a much higher level cap, new quests, battles and Plans.

Is the Console War worth fighting? Find out with Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, DRM-free now on GOG.com! The launch discount will end on November 10, 1:59 PM GMT.

IronArcturus: Does this game work with an Xbox 360 controller?
It should, my controller works.
If youre unfortunate use the x360 controller emulator.
Kinda have the feeling that they want to see how well this one sells, then decide if it's worth it for 2 and/or 3. If it's not even in the top 25 on the front page by the 10th then I doubt we'll see more. Pessimism coupled with sudden realisation. :3

I can see the second game being released here in the near future, but the third we wont see for a long time as it only was released on Steam a couple days ago (was an instabuy).
Well... better late than never, I guess.
Hell yeah! I loved this game on the Vita. So glad it's on GoG now! :D

By the way, the series started on the PS3. This game is an enhanced remake of the PS3 original. This version originally came out on the Vita, not the PSP.
any chance we can reclaim neptunia from steam sometime?

tfishell: They'll earn about 0.0000001% of that here ...

Kardwill: 6$? I think they would earn a little more with them ^^ (though still in the "quite neglictable" range, I agree)
Whoops, I meant closer to $60,000. I'd like to think even closer to 600,000 since GOG has grown a lot since Activision's last releases and Emperor Rise Middle Kingdom is highly desired, but let's be careful. :P

Yes works perfectly.
low rated
My bad,I read it as tinye rebirth.
well there are a few games in this "department" (ports of sony game systems, and/or typical anime.japan flavored stuff, and/or typical console genre) that i had saw on Steam and had to "forget about" because, well, they were "only" steam and given their publisher or previous releases, i could barely expect them to see on GOG anyway.

nice to see this one making its path in gog catalog... Now i will give it a try. But what i really wait/expect to come on GOG would be Mugen Souls

I somewhere read its release on gog is confirmed, the only thing thats left is the date.
this was unexpected . also didn't expect a vita game to need directx 10. frankly only ever heard of the anime.
