What is HuniePop? It's a game kickstarted by thousands of fans. It's a "gameplay-first" dating sim. It's a match-three puzzle game. It's really popular.

In the world of HuniePop, you're just a loser. But yet another lonely night at a local dive-bar is about to change your life - or rather, it's the freaky love fairy you tried to hit on. She's going to help you out with the power of addictive puzzle gameplay. can you advise on Lula on it being censored at all? Can't risk a purchase, like I nearly did with Agarest of War 2.

If it is indeed censored, why is there no mention of this on the game page? If you guys ( or the devs ) decided it would be better to release a censored version here, fair enough, but please be honest and transparent about it. If potential customers have to dig through user posts to find out what exactly they're buying, instead of being able to rely on the official information, that's kinda... not cool.

As for the game, looks like it might be fun for a while, but I guess I'd rather see "real" visual novel style games here. ( With good stories, and some more interesting settings and characters, ideally. )
LOOK AT ALL THE PERVERTS HERE TONIIIIIIGHT!!!

I know nothing about this game (yet?) and you state it contains "partial nudity". Is this true for the censored version? Since I don't expect the game to be super-explicit even in the uncensored form I'm not sure what to think if you answer with "yes". o_O

amok: So now gOg have opened the floodgates for Match-3 Games? Will we ever see any of the good ones here?
Yeah - Puzzle Quest series for a start!

I don't have a single clue and I don'tknow when I'll play the game :) Better ask a blue about this in the dedicated Lula release thread

Senteria: Since I have the game on humble bundle because I bought it through the dev's website, I thought i'd pick up the soundtrack and art thingy here. Turns out I can't.
That's because GOG know better than you and coded their site so it can't show DLC without the base game in the library, which is fine, because they won't let you put DLC on your account without the base game anyway.

Weird, it's almost like I complained to GOG for having this requirement and told them it would stop completely reasonable purchases and well, well, well, here we are.

One day, people will listen to me.

Magnitus: I don't see what explicit content has to do with social justice. More generally, I don't see what sex related things have to do with social justice unless there is exploitation involved (ex: people being forced into prostitution by poverty or rape).

For progressives, there is no relation there.

Fesin: A lot of the internet-tumblr-feminist crowd (aka "Social Justice Warriors") is extremely sex negative and views every kind of sexual portrayal of women as exploitative. The HuniePop developers got attacked a lot from these circles.
I remember something similar, although probably less severe, when Dragon's Crown released. Was a great game, though.

Unlike other games where censorship is difficult or impossible to override, overriding censorship on this one is quite easy like I posted a while ago. See Here. This is how it is distributed by Steam and quite possibly Humble though I have yet to test that version.
Bought as a vote of confidence in GOG to also release these kind of games.

You are doing it wrong again, guys. I doubt you are actually doing it for the shitstorm or for laughs, but please:
- if its not available in some country - state that
- if its censored - state that
- if its cut - state that
- if it has extras stripped due to publisher change - state that

in bold font and above everything

People tend to dislike unavailable, censored, cut and extra-less releases, but at least they will moan and not rage about it.

yeah. tell that to the people who actually use the "SJW" thingy with a straight tongue... There is no such thing as a SJW, it is a label some people have attaches to people whose views they do not like. As in "gOg s in the pockets of the darn SJW's. Look - they do not even dare release Hatred or HuniePop!!!111!!1!!! Phil Fish told them to!!!!1111!!! If you do not agree with me you are also a SJW!!!11!!1!11" etc.

Basically, the censored version shows nude breasts/underwear and the uncensored version has full nudity.
