A haze of neon carnage.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, a conclusion to the psychotic saga, is now available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Limbs strewn everywhere, pulsating to the rhythmic thump of a haunting mixtape sound. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a conclusion to the game that's conquered so many of our hearts, then left them bleeding out in the corner of a musty motel room. A quiet end, we should count ourselves lucky. Hotline Miami is now back with a thick, bloody vengeance. If there is one thing to love about the series (other than than the incredible soundtrack and gritty neon-laced setting), it's the precise, fast-paced gameplay which just got bigger and better. There are plenty of new, unique mask abilities like dual wielding or chainsaws (or maybe even both?), as well as seven new playable characters to make up this twisted part-prequel, part-sequel story of Jacket's aftermath.

If there was ever a good reason to pick up the bigger package, the Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Digital Special Edition comes with the Remix EP and 6 unique tracks. An absolute treat, if you're into the Hotline musical stylings. Nothing's lost if you don't want to make the commitment just yet. You can always pick up the standard edition, and get the upgrade later. Once it is complete, all versions of the game will also come with a DRM-free Custom Level Editor to create your own maps and share them with friends.

Ring ring. It's Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Will you pick up?

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is unavailable for purchase in Australia. If you missed our brief statement during pre-orders, we'd like to shed a bit of light on the situation:

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was refused classification by the Australian Classification Board - the classification and censorship body formed by the Australian Government - this means that we are legally unable to sell the game to our Australian customers. We hated to hear it as much as you do, but after thoughtful consideration we felt that by refusing to sell the game worldwide, we would effectively apply the Australian censorship to 190+ other countries in the world. That would be unfairly punishing not just to our customers, but also the developers who took a stand against censoring their game.
By preventing purchases from IP's located within the borders of Australia, we make sure that the smallest number of people are affected by the ban. It sucks, but we believe it's the least of all evils.

Ornery_Ocelot: Will the GOG release contain the Level Editor and ability to download custom-created levels?
It should, as it says in the newspost:
"Once it is complete, all versions of the game will also come with a DRM-free Custom Level Editor to create your own maps and share them with friends. "

tinyE: I fail to see the interest in this game. You can't set anyone on fire and then piss on them. What's the point? :D

Tannath: Wait. Isn't that Postal 2?

Actually you do set a guy on fire in the first game.
Solid 400+ votes completed. Not bad. :)

That's actually a great game for the secrets and open-world silliness and "charm", imo.

Yeah I'm just being a dick. :P

I love this series but I'm so bad at them it does become a little frustrating. One thing HM 1 has (don't know about #2) that no other game can claim is the ability to not only kill someone with a door but to virtually disembowel them! Good stuff!

I'll wait on some concrete reviews before I ponder buying this but it for sure goes on my wishlist for now.
Sweet, time to go download mah preorder!
I need to play the first before I buy, but thankfully my country loves death and mayhem so I will be able to when the time comes.
I loved the first one and will buy the second as soon as it gets rid of regional pricing.
So let me get this straight: if I buy the base game for $14.99 plus the upgrade for $3.99, it's actually cheaper by $1.01 over buying the special edition directly for $19.99?

Either those prices are wrong, or someone isn't very good at arithmetic.

I just picked up the base game and ordered the Vinyl and MY GOD does the soundtrack sound good on a technics turntable with a 500wat system <3 but yeah shhhhh don't say anything so it stays cheap XD

So I bought the special edition with remix EP here. But it doesn't seem to include the original soundtrack.

Hotline Miami 1 had the music files in the installation folder, but this one doesn't.

Moreover, Steam has the soundtrack to buy, but you have to buy it as DLC. That is, you have to buy the game on Steam before you can buy the soundtrack on Steam.

Is there any way to acquire the soundtrack after buying the GOG version?
Won't sell to Aussies? I think I'll follow the developer's advise, then:

ah shit thats right well maybe 8 months we will see one or a year the latest.
Is it normal if digital comics are displayed in the library as product_bonus_41363, product_bonus_41373 and product_bonus_41383? I've just ordered them and maybe this bug appeared only today, otherwise it's weird that noone seems to have reported this yet. There's no way to know which file is for which platform right now without trying to download it.
