A haze of neon carnage.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, a conclusion to the psychotic saga, is now available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Limbs strewn everywhere, pulsating to the rhythmic thump of a haunting mixtape sound. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a conclusion to the game that's conquered so many of our hearts, then left them bleeding out in the corner of a musty motel room. A quiet end, we should count ourselves lucky. Hotline Miami is now back with a thick, bloody vengeance. If there is one thing to love about the series (other than than the incredible soundtrack and gritty neon-laced setting), it's the precise, fast-paced gameplay which just got bigger and better. There are plenty of new, unique mask abilities like dual wielding or chainsaws (or maybe even both?), as well as seven new playable characters to make up this twisted part-prequel, part-sequel story of Jacket's aftermath.

If there was ever a good reason to pick up the bigger package, the Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Digital Special Edition comes with the Remix EP and 6 unique tracks. An absolute treat, if you're into the Hotline musical stylings. Nothing's lost if you don't want to make the commitment just yet. You can always pick up the standard edition, and get the upgrade later. Once it is complete, all versions of the game will also come with a DRM-free Custom Level Editor to create your own maps and share them with friends.

Ring ring. It's Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Will you pick up?

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is unavailable for purchase in Australia. If you missed our brief statement during pre-orders, we'd like to shed a bit of light on the situation:

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was refused classification by the Australian Classification Board - the classification and censorship body formed by the Australian Government - this means that we are legally unable to sell the game to our Australian customers. We hated to hear it as much as you do, but after thoughtful consideration we felt that by refusing to sell the game worldwide, we would effectively apply the Australian censorship to 190+ other countries in the world. That would be unfairly punishing not just to our customers, but also the developers who took a stand against censoring their game.
By preventing purchases from IP's located within the borders of Australia, we make sure that the smallest number of people are affected by the ban. It sucks, but we believe it's the least of all evils.

thuey: Played about 5 or so stages last night.

Not sure why the GOG reviews are so poor, to be honest.
More restrictive than the first, less freedom of choice, levels that are too big for their own good, lazy enemy placement, broken controls, bugsbugsbugs, MOTHERFUCKING WINDOWS EVERYWHERE. Some of the levels are pretty great but others are pure tedium.

thuey: No .ogg soundtrack included in the game directory is a big loss though :(

I think I can tell exactly which stage broke you. Chapter 3 was it? lol
Just waiting for a sale for the two Hotline Miami games and then I'll get them. I have the first one on Steam but want to have both here. After I saw Judas play I really want to have both of them. I like the "Driver" like style/story of the first and the awesome soundtrack of both as well as the challenging and quick gameplay. It's only sad that Dennation never made the long promised patch for part 1 (have contacted Devolver and Dennation but only received several answers from Devolver that the patch WILL come .... it did not and they gave me a Broforce Steam key to keep quiet ;)) to rebind other keys then the W,A,S,D. Hopefully this time all keys are rebindable?

According to thread mentioning that mouse rebinding doesn't work properly atm.

*Every* possible key is remappable, this time around, I just checked it myself.

Thank you both very much - now I hardly can wait to buy those games. But after the insomnia sale I probably SHOULD wait a bit :)

fronzelneekburm: WINDOWS EVERYWHERE.
Windows? Ha, you should watch out for the Miami Mutilator, a killer so cunning, so intelligent that even the handsome and smart Detective Pardo is having trouble keeping up with him. The killer is a wily one but I have confidence that Detective Pardo will get his man!

:D
Perhaps the whole game is liek, a metaphor for the struggle of humanity agains't the impossible odds of the universe.

:D
I think this is my favourite thread on GoG.

Hard mode chapter 3 stage 4 may have finally defeated me.

OH EM GEE, JUDAS IS A PARDO POSTER.

/v/ sends regards, by the way. We had a Keaning thread up during the last Insomnia sale and your name came up as a pretty cool dude.
I can't think of a cooler videogame.
Still the coolest game ever.
Is Hotline Miami 3 out yet?
Still buggy. Still crashes.
