This version also includes the latest massive patch, which brings tons of radical changes to formations, ship behavior, gameplay balance, and more.

The Homeworld Remastered Collection includes both the classic and remastered editions of Homeworld & Homeworld 2.

tinyE: LISTEN UP!!! (I always wanted to say that :P)

It is a beautiful layout. A+ on presentation to be sure.

You get one icon and one menu with an option for all four games with their own separate settings options, and they all run very nice.

The Remasters are a little hard on schematics but there are tons of options to tweek so you should be able to play with it enough to work on even modest systems. I ended up turning the resolution down. It's not as crisp but it is still noticeably better than the originals, which where pretty great to begin with and look fantastic here.

One big difference I already noticed, and anyone who has played these before will think is a big deal, with Remaster you automatically get TWO RECOURSE COLLECTORS as opposed to the original which only started you with one.
Those of you who would get tired of waiting for those fuckers to get every last scrap before making the jump to hyperspace will no doubt be very please. :P

That is all. XD
Now this is a proper tinyrEview™.Thanks for the info my friend. Now i just gotta wait for my download to finish and then i am set for starside :D.Cheers

tburger: I would like to know it too. My PC will not run Remastered (have an XP) and before I buy I would like to know if I will be able to install / play classic versions..
avatar
Dreaganos: You can download only one Installer which will install the classic version inside the Homeworld Remastered
Folder.
This is true but in my mind it's easier to have access to all of them on one menu. Saves icon space on your desktop too. :P

I can barely see my Cthulu wallpaper as is with the 20 LSL icons I have up there. XD

IronArcturus: Steam version got some new 2.0 update as well. Is that the same as GOG's?
for the time being, both platforms are on par.

Telika: One of the 3 or 4 best games ever made.

However, what about Cataclysm ? It is not amongst the included classics, is it ? Or is it waiting to be remade aswell ?
The old: "Who the heck has the rights to it?" dilemma.
Oh, I am very happy to see this game here. Never played it, yes, but only heard praise! I think I will buy it tomorrow ;-)
since I own the games on Steam and I don't want to re-buy them again, I'll wait for it to show up in GOG connect. Still very nice release.
I vaguely remember playing this (1 I think), back in the day. Not sure whether it's my cup of tea or not but I might just need to get it at some point and see since it's so highly praised.
ah my poor wallet... this is a insta buy though

On the game card it mentions Multiplayer. Have you tried that with any of the Homeworld games? Does it require an addtional client to work or is it built into the game?
Hooray, this finally made it here! Admittedly I haven't played the original, but I watched the demo of the remastered version (and a lot of gameplay) and it looks really fun.

Dreaganos: Both can be played without running the Remastered versions.
And just for convenience if you have an AMD GPU get a "fixed" atioglxx.dll and put it inside the HW2 Folder.
avatar
tburger: Thx....what fixed dll...? I'll have to google a bit.
Well when i tried HW2 Classic the game crashed and the error log stated that this was caused by the atioglxx.dll.
But due to Doom3 mods i had a "fixed" file, put it into the same directory as the HW2 exe and the game run.
Huh. This ended up being my 300th game on GOG. That's a good game to hit a milestone on.

That I can't help you with. I am not a MP gamer.
Wishlisted for now. It's great to see Gearbox here finally.
