Hollow Knight , the charmingly morbid Metroidvania about a bug's life and many deaths, has received its final content update. It’s been a long journey since the first time you defeat that tricky boss, but all good things must come to an end.

Godmaster, the free and final update for Hollow Knight, is now live!

Also releasing today is the Hollow Knight: Gods & Nightmares soundtrack DLC

To celebrate, there will be a 34% discount on the base game as well as the soundtrack. Offer ends August 27th 5pm UTC

A new edition known as 'Hollow Knight & Soundtracks ' will replace the 'Hollow Knight Soundtrack Edition'. Owners of the replaced edition will receive 20% off Hollow Knight Gods and Nightmares DLC. This will stack with other promos.
Extremely nice! Time for the final plunge back into Hallownest.
Sorry GOG, I just bought it on my Switch... =(

'an i has everythang?
edz: dont kno wut an "amp" is...
Yes, and Hollow Knight - Gods & Nightmares is only the new soundtrack, not a real DLC for the game with new content.

Anyway, can anyone confirm that by buying the latest DLC, even the full version is again "owned"?

Deadly_Traveler: Does anybody know how to play the new version with the old save? I've updated the game with a new patch but no new content is available. I've also installed GOG Galaxy and verified the game files but nothing happened.

Any suggestions?
It's possible you must search the new content around the game world in new areas, but I haven't played it for now.

I've played a little and found that everything is fine YET. For some reason, crash reports appear in the save folder whenever I start the game.

Nice. It's a game I found difficult to get into at first, principally not knowing where to go. Got further though and it's a solid title. One of the better metroidvanias out there.
I apologize in advance... Just got home from work and I'm sooooo exhausted... I read and reread everything posted above here and I am still very confused about this deal. LOL!

I do not own any previous editions. If I just want to buy the game itself, do I need to buy Hollow Knight and the Gods & Nightmares for it to be complete? Or is Gods & Nightmares just a soundtrack bundle? Or is it a DLC plus ost? It's confusing for me because when I click on Gods & Nightmares, it says "To play this item you also need Hollow Knight"...

AlexN55: Please Please Please put this game on GOG Connect!!!

I made the terrible mistake of getting this game on Steam and I'm pleading to relive the experience free of the accursed DRM!

I really do want to give the game my fullest support, and if I absolutely HAVE to I'll rebut it to support this company. But I'd just be so happy if we could all get a chance to get the game again through your awesome service! I'd even be willing to pay for the soundtrack if need be!
That's not really up to GOG, it's the developers and the publishers, in tandem with GOG, who decide which games will be redeemable on Connect. Probably just during big sales, promos or when a new game in a series gets on GOG (in which case the older games are put on Connect).

Either way, thank you so much, Team Cherry, for supporting and respecting your fans and your customers; you made this game out of love, and it shows, it's one of the best metroidvanias ever made, and I can't wait to check out whatever new awesome content you added for FREE (other studios, from indie to AAA, should definitely learn a lesson or two from you). It's also worth mentioning that Team Cherry, despite its small size, never neglected their GOG customers. Thank you so very much, I plan on buying the Hornet DLC as soon as you release it, it's the least I can do to show my support of one of the rare video game studios that effectively did everything right.

Rock on!

Gods & Nightmare it's just the (second) Soundtrack.

The game itself is complete.

I can only recommend this awesome game especially at this price, it's one of the best metroidvania I played with Castlevania Symphony of the Night.

So, I owned 'Hollow Knight Soundtrack Edition', I just bought the only thing that I was missing if I understood well : Hollow Knight: Gods and Nightmares soundtrack DLC
But 'Hollow Knight and Soundtracks' still isn't showing as owned, is this normal ?

For me the new soundtrack edition isn't showing as owned, despite having bought the new released 'Gods & Nightmares soundtrack DLC' :P

Nooo, I hate these things...
Well, I'm still confused. Click the banner on the front page and I get a page showing 4 items with all preselected, suggesting I buy the lot for AU$42.87, saving 34% but I *think* I'd end up with 2 copies of everything.

Thinking that "Hollow Knight & Soundtracks" includes the game, Gods & Nightmares DLC and both soundtracks, I've bought that. Installing only references Hollow Knight and there's 2 soundtracks in the goodies section but no indication that I have the Gods & Nightmares DLC.

Except that when I go back to the sale page with the 4 items it says I own them all. Even starting the game gives me no obvious indication that the paid DLC is there. But in the menu style option I've got Godmaster. Does that come from Gods & Nightmares?

"Gods & Nightmares" is the second soundtrack, it is not game content. The base game contains the game content updates - they're already in the game, not separate downloads.

So if you bought "Hollow Knight & Soundtracks", you should have everything, which is why the sale page says you own them all. Also, there's no need to buy the sale page bundle (you were right, you would end up with 2x everything)

all DLC thus far is free the OSTs cost so there are only 3 items Hollow Knight, HK OST Vol. 1 and HK OST Vol. 2 Gods and Nightmares the forth is Hollow Knight with OSTs (gog that is a wonky way to do that) so yes you did just buy everything twice it would seem if you bought all four items
