mrkgnao: You cannot buy games via SteamCMD, it's just a downloader.
what? that you even said this shows how insane you are. did you think i think that is/was possible?
mrkgnao: I prefer to keep my steam and GOG identities separate.
of course you do. for reasons. i doubt you don't have several major aaa drmed games on steam. i do not believe you are so hard core as to not have some of your "faves" there. again, don't bother using words to convince me otherwise, for they mean nothing. i was testing you. you paint yourself as some stallman fanatic regarding games, and i doubt you are one. it doesn't matter, and not wanting to reveal your steam account (to me) 100% proves that you have something to hide. and i mean if most your games are from bundles etc, how would you even know they are truly steam drm free? i don't mean actual steam drm like CEG or whatever internal b/s valve might use, i mean just a simple "not technically" drm, like relying on the steamapi.dll (or similar) which many steamworks games do. again, most/many truly do not use that as drm, rather by using it (for some api calls, etc) it kinda becomes a minor form of drm since that file requires the steam client which in turn nowadays means around 200mb minimum, and of course an internet connection.
point is, if someone (anyone) tells me they only buy truly 100% steamless games, i, knowing what i know, know that is not truly possible before buying. yes, someone with many steam games once they have them, could start manually testing and finding such 100% "command line" games, and then just back them up whatever way and then those games not ever needing steam, sure, but what you describe, which i understand perfectly (again, i was testing you) is almost not possible by itself. again, you are NOT a gamer stallman, yet you self describe as such. i don't buy that. a true stallman GAME fanatic is like one in 1 billion, so maybe 7-10 in the whole world.
