"That's 60% off when you get all three until Sunday, March 27, at 10:59AM GMT. "

They mean tomorrow as in Sunday 23 March, Right ???
Bought Contracts, I'm glad I held off buying it when it came out on Steam.
Speaking of Absolution, bad news is its 25 dollars right now on Steam. Good news is its only 7 on Amazon which gets you a Steam key so same difference just a lot cheaper!

IwubCheeze: Dammit, I want to take advantage of this offer but yesterday and today, I keep getting the error message "Firefox can't find the server at na.gcsip.com." when trying to pay with paypal. Is anyone else experiencing this?
avatar
NowaAnglia: I paid with paypal using the Chrome browser. Could be a browser issue.

On a lighter note, I installed Contracts just to see how it runs and I've only played the training mission, but my god I've very nearly spoiled myself for Hitman 2. The finely detailed improvements are exquisite. The sneaking is quicker, the animations are deliciously vicious, and it runs more smoothly than Hitman 2. Plus the mood is dark and brooding. I may go from playing H2 as a patient silent assassin to a ham-fisted thug so I can start Contracts sooner. It looks that good.

In any case, I hope you work out the paypal/firefox/server trouble.
I'm thinking you're right but also wondering if it's my ISP giving me problems. After work today, I went to an internet cafe to see if I would have the same problem there. I didn't, my purchase went without a hitch and I am now a proud and happy owner of Hitman:Contracts 1 hour before the sale ends :), Sometimes, I have trouble connecting to certain sites and the MMOFPS I've been playing on and off keeps disconnecting, a problem I never had before. Take a look at my attached internet speed test and laugh at my pain (Yes, that's supposed to be a broadband connection) . When my contract expires in October, guess who's changing ISPs.

From your description of the game, I'm looking forward to trying it out. Downloading................NOW :)

I was wondering if you'd catch it before the sale ended. I'm glad you worked it out.

I don't want to laugh at your pain but that fat F on the speed test looks pretty funny. : P You're probably right, too, I'd bet it's your current ISP that's been making all the trouble.

Well, enjoy the game. Part of Contracts is a refinement of Codename 47's missions, from what I hear. So maybe playing H1 and then H3 is just the right way to do it. In any case, I hope you can finish all three games juuust as GOG releases Blood Money. ; )

Where is the Sale gone?
I planned picking it up on Tuesday, cause I don´t got money on my credit card ATM.
But now it just disappeared! http://www.gog.com/promo/hitman_contracts_launch_promo_200314
Where did the four days (Sale was announced to go till 27th) go?! :(

They made a mistake on their announcement. If it were me I would contact support nicely requesting they honor the sale price for me on Tuesday due to the announced date mix-up which was pointed out in this thread, but was never fixed. It would be honorable. I'd give it a go.

Good luck!

I think I´ll just wait for the next sale and will it pick up then!
I´m not in a hurry; but you are right, it would be a nice move of the support team!

Hey, all right. GOG has the most fun sales anyway; there's always something to look forward to!
Really appreciate the addition of this game. I'm a serious Hitman fan and I'm glad that Contracts is finally available for download on this site. The only issue is that I can't adjust the screen resolution to widescreen, such as 1400X900. I am running this game on a late 2013 15-inch Macbook Pro Retina and I'm a little bummed to see that there are no resolution options that would feature the game in widescreen HD. I know that Steam's version supports widescreen, so hopefully there'll be a patch to address this issue.

Other than that, the game runs without a hitch (and without annoying DRM). Cheers GOG!

Thanks! I'll see what I can do, though I'll make sure to have a backup just in case something goes wrong. Hopefully Hitman Blood Money will be coming to the service, especially since the Steam version removed the Securom DRM from its copies entirely. It's also considered the best of the series, so I am sure many will love to get a copy from GOG if it appears on the service.

Once again, I appreciate the prompt reply and I can't wait to buy more games on GOG.
Just finished the game and unlocked all the weapons. My final stats were 1 close encounter. 1 alert and 1 shot fired on normal difficulty. I'm sure there people out there who got zeros accross the board but I certainly couldn't, especially on the last mission (not saying what happened in case I spoil it for someone). This game was defiantely easier than Hitman 2 but the setting and tone were way better than the first two games. I also liked how the repeat missions that appeared in HItman 1 were familiar yet different enough to make the second playthrough feel fresh.. I was worried about them being an exact copy.

Gog, please get the other hitman games here but whatever you do, please don't do this if you manage to get Absolution!!!!! (see attached piccie)

Already have Hitman 1+2+Contracts GOG DRM-free and Blood Money on Steam. The PlayStation Store has got the HD Trilogy (2+C+BM) on sale for $15.99. It's very tempting because I was thinking of replaying these games and the PS3 versions are already optimized for widescreen and controller. Do you think I should get them? Have any of you played them? What are your thoughts?

Paying $15.99 for games you already own simply for widescreen and controller support isn't really worth it. Then again, widescreen I don't care much about and give me a mouse / keyboard combo over a controller any day. But that's just me.
