Tiny Bang Story, Morphopolis, plus the Enigmatis and Nightmares from the Deep trilogies.

Who doesn't love the look of a messy room, devilishly concealing all the important items when you need them the most? That guilty pleasure of rummaging around for your car keys, wallet, or that grotesque ivory ornament which unlocks the secrets to the family curse, is what Hidden Object Games are all about!
We kick off their arrival on GOG.COM with a fine selection that was hiding in plain sight and some purty 70% discounts until August 10th, 1pm UTC.

Tiny Bang Story takes place on a lovely planet thrown into disarray after an unfortunate clash with a total jerk of a meteor. Help fix it by solving quirky puzzles and scouring hand-drawn screens for objects of interest.

The Enigmatis trilogy begins on the spooky streets of Maple Creek, a place overflowing with secrets, tragedy, and hidden knickknacks! Disoriented and confused after being hit by a furious storm, you must steel your nerves and stay focused on finding that missing girl.

Morphopolis is an evocative puzzle adventure set in an almost-psychedelic forest undergrowth full of curious insects. Gorgeous exploration and fascinating discoveries await.

Ghost ships, doomed romance, pirate treasure, and items in need of finding make up the Nightmares from the Deep trilogy, a chilling tale straight from Davy Jones' locker.
Nice.

Now with HOGs on GOG, we might see a deluge of more sensible, casual gamers in this forum.

My feeling are quite contrary, I find HOGs to be suitable for mature gamers, like my mom. She learned a lot of English words playing those, well, at least to some extent. I get the kicks from her bad pronunciation all the time. :)

Generally on topic:
Well, even though I'd never pick these games for myself I do support their arrival on GOG.com, they are GAMES after all, unlike those bullshit things that people buy just for anime girls with big tits in tight clothes to support some weird fantasies. Don't like being judgemental, and I generally like weird things, but the line of good taste has to exist somewhere, which isn't the case in above mentioned pieces of software.
Sometimes you don't feel like blowing things up or micro-managing inventory. These games are great for those times.

Well, It definitely means that the average estrogens level in the forum will rise...
Bit suprised to see them here but if there is a market for them then gog should go for it. I dont mind a casual game after a hefty action game so may check one out and see what they are like for myself.
YES!
My mom (69 years old) love this kind of games...

I assembled for Her a Linux machine with an Steam account with a lot of (native linux) Hidden Object games and a bigfish client via wine...

I stopped buying Artifex games on steam because they stopped the spanish language support.

Ah yeah, I've always regretted that we don't have hidden object games with a larger array of selectable languages.

Some of my favorite books as a kid were called "my first 1000 words in..." (french, german, english, etc), which were large pages of where's-waldo-like detailed environments, and objects with their names in the margins. Finding them on the page while memorising the words was great.
Great games.
As soon as i find some money i will buy them all.

Also, it would be really nice if all these games could have soundtracks (flac, ogg) added as goodies :)
Ususally such games have nice and calm music :)

Hey guys. Please understand that we're a storefront that sells many games from many genres. Not everything will appease your tastes, and that's fine, but don't use this as an excuse go on a rant. Especially when it's filled with expletives.

I don't like cheese, but I don't go on rants about it randomly.

Now I wonder if this is aimed at the first part or at the second part.

I'm surprised to see so many people saying these are kids' games. I have literally never seen or heard of a child playing a hidden-object game. Older people, and anyone not comfortable with faster or more complex games, seem to be the core audience.
