Tiny Bang Story, Morphopolis, plus the Enigmatis and Nightmares from the Deep trilogies.

Who doesn't love the look of a messy room, devilishly concealing all the important items when you need them the most? That guilty pleasure of rummaging around for your car keys, wallet, or that grotesque ivory ornament which unlocks the secrets to the family curse, is what Hidden Object Games are all about!
We kick off their arrival on GOG.COM with a fine selection that was hiding in plain sight and some purty 70% discounts until August 10th, 1pm UTC.

Tiny Bang Story takes place on a lovely planet thrown into disarray after an unfortunate clash with a total jerk of a meteor. Help fix it by solving quirky puzzles and scouring hand-drawn screens for objects of interest.

The Enigmatis trilogy begins on the spooky streets of Maple Creek, a place overflowing with secrets, tragedy, and hidden knickknacks! Disoriented and confused after being hit by a furious storm, you must steel your nerves and stay focused on finding that missing girl.

Morphopolis is an evocative puzzle adventure set in an almost-psychedelic forest undergrowth full of curious insects. Gorgeous exploration and fascinating discoveries await.

Ghost ships, doomed romance, pirate treasure, and items in need of finding make up the Nightmares from the Deep trilogy, a chilling tale straight from Davy Jones' locker.

liquidsnakehpks: The chances of getting older wrestling games are close to null as they contain wrestlers who have died , left wwe , fired from wwe and not to mention licensed soundtracks used plus console exclusives till 2k14....

The modern releases aka the ones 2k released after getting the rights could come here aka wwe 2k15 onward but they shutdown the servers after ever year ....
Thats why I said "There's about as much chance of them as there is NOLF!"

Mr.Mumbles: You may have missed the silent "/s"... at least I hope that's the case.
I actually did mispell it. But theres no silent s. :P
Thank you GOG and Artifex Mundi ! Looking forward for more HOGs and GOG connect.
GOG needs to get the Bioshock-inspired Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden since there are other Artifex Mundi games here now! (Getting Bioshock itself would also be nice.)
Got the games for my mom. She loves them!
I am just saying this to add that i think HOG games are fine to have here

I have a lot of fond memories spending time on my aunt's lap as she played HOG's and the Nancy Dreew games.I remember there being a lot of excellent HOG titles like Phantasmora (?).

gamesfreak64: Depends on the gamer , some really hate casualgames[...]
So its hard to give suggestions to any gamer.
Yeah, I know :) Sadly, some aren't "respectful" with genres they don't like :S
I like some light games, it depends of my mood and of the game. Sometimes games clicks on you, sometimes not, whatever the genre/complexity of it ! For me at least XD I was really surprised with Regency Solitaire for example, an awesome solitaire game ! I'm planing to buy Shadowhand here one day !

gamesfreak64: Anyway most if not all (older) games have complete walkthroughs on youtube i always check them to see what to expect in the game...
I'll take a quick look, thanks :)

ciemnogrodzianin: Take first NotD and you'll know everything. All these games are based on the same scheme and if you played one, you somehow played all of them ;) Being you I'd try just one single game and "Nightmares 1" is one of the best Artifex games I've played and I can recommend it. N2 and N3 was a bit worse.
Okay I see ! I'll check some gameplay to take my final decision, but there are good chances I'll take at least the first one thanks to your advice and comments in this thread. Is the story finished at the end of first episode, or is the trilogy a whole ?
How is Enigmatis compared to NotD ? (but maybe you haven't played this trilogy)
Thanks for your help :)

I would like to add...
I personally highly appreciate the diversity of releases from GOG lately : kudos to you for opening the store to more genres ! :D
I mean, even if I'm not appealed by everything and every genre, it means that more tastes will be able to be satisfied, which means more happy people, and this is a very good thing.
I love Japanese games for example and I'm really happy to see more coming :) Same for some indy and strategy games !
No game or genre of game can please everybody, because we're all different, with different spirits and tastes.

Man these kind of games are a guilty pleasure for me. Really looking forward to the Mystery Case Files series from Big Fish!
Cool, I like these kind of games; I've been looking forward to play the Nightmares from the Deep series for a while but I'd been reluctant to use Steam even though I have a bunch of wishlisted games there, so I'm happy to see these games available on GOG. :)

ChrisGamer300: I'm not much into the adventure genre but Enigmatis seem alright from what i have seen and read so i might consider picking that one up.

It also seems some people don't want adventure games here or similar stuff but GOG shouldn't curate it's store based on genre, quality is what matters and people like different stuff so it only make sense.
I've tried a handful of these HO/Adventure games in the past, and the Enigmatis series is quite good. I liked the setting and atmosphere, they have decent production values ( at least for this genre ), and they also feature simple traditional Adventure game puzzles etc., in addition to hidden object scenes. Just think of them as relaxing, casual versions of traditional Adventure games.
Yay, The Tiny Bang Story looks sooo cute! :-]

Ingsoc85: So much for GOG curator standards.

Also, aren't those games mainly played on mobiles?
What is your point? That GOG shouldn't sell mobile-compatible games, or that all of them are bad? Because, as you may know, they already sell a large amount of games which are also available on mobile devices, and many mobile compatible games are actually of high quality, including games such as The Banner Saga or the Shadowrun series.

As the performance of smartphones and tablets keeps growing, people better get used to the idea that many of their traditional PC or console games will also be released on mobile devices. Heck, apparently you can already play a pretty decent mobile version of Player Unkown's Battlegrounds. Mobile gaming is no longer limited to clones of Flappy Bird and Candy Crush.

Thank you, i will try it and for that price it can't go wrong either way. Enigmatis seem like the perfect game to fire up when you're short on time or just feeling lazy.

If I remember correctly, they also save your progress automatically, so you can fire it up anytime to play for 20 to 30 minutes, and then continue playing some other time. Pretty nice when you're just looking for a quick, spontaneous gaming break, and lack the time and energy to dive into an epic such as the Witcher.

Pond86: I'm still waiting for the WWF/WWE games to appear GOG :P

(There's about as much chance of them as there is NOLF!)
Not really. Cases of fractured rights where no one's even really sure who owns what elements can, at length, be untangled and "solved". But I can't recall any cases of sports or racing games that used likenesses of real people or vehicles (after about the mid-Nineties or so, anyway) being re-released. Nobody wants to go to the trouble and (probably large) expense of re-licensing all those things for what would probably be a minimal return.
(Unless you were talking about more recent wrestling games, in which case it's "merely" a matter of the publishers being in love with DRM.)
