Plus: all other 2K Games are now up to -75%!

Hidden & Dangerous Action Pack and Hidden & Dangerous 2, the tactical WWII shooters where every bullet counts, are now available as digital exclusives on GOG.com.
For a proper welcome, we're holding a 2K Games Sale, where the entire catalog is up to 75% off!

More often than not, strength or numbers are not the deciding factors of victory; tactics are. A squad of fine British Special Air Service lads with co-ordinated moves, smart shooting, and carefully chosen loadout can disrupt the most dense enemy forces as long as they stay Hidden & Dangerous.

The sequel, Hidden & Dangerous 2, expands on the gameplay mechanics that let you switch between a third-person and first-person view, while also adding more stealth and subterfuge options. This time, our team is assassinating targets, sabotaging equipment, and rescuing prisoners in even more diverse locations across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

In order to welcome the two H&D games in our 2K Games squad, the rest of their catalog is now on sale, with titles like X-Com: Terror from the Deep, Army Men, and Freedom Force going for up to 75% off.
The 2K Games sale lasts until February 27, 5PM UTC.
Woohoo!

H&D2 is, to me, the absolute best (but hard as hell in some spots) WW2 shooter ever made. So glad these are finally here.

I've still got my original CD's but having to install from multiple discs (5 I think...may have been less) and then install either 5 or 6 friggin patches on top of it was a massive pain in the butt.

A discount would have been nice but I'll probably end up paying full price anyway...

Now bring Vietcong!
I would like to see more RECENT 2K games, like:

Spec Ops: The Line (including the Linux version)

The Bureau: Xcom Declassified

The Darkness 2

The original Bioshock

The original Bioshock 2 with all the DLC's

Bioshock Infinite with all DLC's (including the Linux version)
Some tips to get MP working for H&D2: http://www.hidden-and-dangerous.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2682
Doing what the above posts says will get the server browser to work again

this is one of the very best images on GOG :D

joppo: it looks like it was a decision by GOG, and a very distasteful one at that. Tho I can just be misinformed... but I still would like you to tell us just WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!
It's more like an arbitrary decision on 2K's part. I'm pretty sure GOG would like to sell these games everywhere if 2K were to allow them.

joppo: Come on GOG, it seems like south africans, brazilians and I'm guessing the whole South America cannot purchase or even see this game, and I would like to know why.

At least in my country I don't think there's a ban or censorship on these games so it looks like it was a decision by GOG, and a very distasteful one at that. Tho I can just be misinformed... but I still would like you to tell us just WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!
That does not make any sense. Why would they give up potential revenues and profit. I bet this was the publisher's decision (as mistermumbles writes too).

sMull: Yep.

Except that H&D2 is better than all of them. Its an absolute gem of a game.

Wolfram_von_Thal: Absolutely, never played a game with a denser WWII-atmosphere and more varied levels. You literally feel the heat of the endless african desert, the moisture of the south pacific-jungles, the icy winds of norway. A great experience and tough as nails.
Well said. The game is incredibly atmospheric. Expected from the developers of Mafia. I miss the old Illusion.

It's possible that when 2K purchased Illusion Softworks (2007 according to Wikipedia) that they didn't get rights to the games in S America, S Africa, etc - those rights might have been tangled up with other publishing deals previously struck by Illusion.

It would be nice to get some confirmation from a GOG blue though!

Exactly why i said in my previous posts that if GOG can just communicate with us so that we know wtf is going on.
Not even a page to say "sorry your country is not supported, this is the reason..blah blah blah"

They just announce the games and when we click on game link it takes us to the games list.
no fcking info or explanation at all and all we can do is guess why we cannot see it.

Communication to clients sucks big time.
avatar
ShaunRoberts: Gog devs, is there a reason why we south Africans can't open the gamecards for either of these games?
avatar
lonewolfgk: Yes there is, they just do not want to tell us or at least direct the page to a page that explains why we cannot buy it.

Also this is not the first game on GOG and also not the last that they restrict us from buying.

I have no idea why GOG limits us here in South-Africa because GOG could not be bothered to explain this and could also not be bothered to at least put some info or description if we try to go the game page.

I have spoken to our FPB (film and publications board) in our country (who controls games as well), and i was told it is not them blocking the games from GOG.

So why is GOG treating us basically as the child you do not want to speak off????

Its not our country stopping them.

Best of all even if the publication board wanted to stop us, they could not because GOG is overseas and they cannot see who buys what and from what country. So how would they stop this.

One last note, GOG stopped us buying Army Men as well. Same thing, our country being limited like this.

Anyway wanted to support this but guess thats what Torrents are for then. I do not want to but how else then.
I don't want to torrent. I just want to buy a game I can no longer play due to incompatibility. I'm quite unhappy. I don't expect a ten page explanation in the announcement but I'd like to able to find out why without speculation!

Why can i and all other South-Africans buy 2K games on Steam??? Why is it not blocked there as well if this is the case????

Instead of everyone guessing why does GOG not start to communicate with their Southern clients???? Why not stop all this guessing and tell us wtf is going on because on Steam i can buy all 2K games on their site.

Communicate with your clients!!!!

If not supported in your country then on Steam you can actually go to the game page, do everything like any other game except their is no buy button.
Then on the right of game info, Steam lists the countries that are supported if this is a game like that.
At least they tell you what is going on.

Maybe, because the published doesn't allow/want to sell their game(s) to South Africa?
And also, they can see you, your IP Address, from where are you from.

There are many games out there, that cannot be for whatever reason legally sold to different countries.

Not sure what you mean by that because unless GOG gave our government access to their site, how will they stop me when i browse to GOG and then buy??? Then they should stop me getting to GOG in the first place.
They cannot see what i choose and then click on the buy button.

Also like i said before, i can get the games on Steam (2K games), its not stopped on Steam.
This is a nice surprise. I had a great time playing the first one co-op with three friends. One thing I'm curious about though is whether co-op will work in this release? If memory serves me right multiplayer is using Microsoft DirectPlay which got deprecated post Windows XP. At least I remember it not working on a Windows 7 machine. There seems to be an option in Windows 8 and later to enable DirectPlay so it may not be an issue with later versions of Windows.
