Reliving the glory days.

Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until August 6th, 7pm UTC.

From the makers of the legendary Quest for Glory series comes a fresh take on the adventure/RPG genre, again set in the world of Gloriana. Young Shawn really really wants to be a thief but after a botched B&E attempt, he ends up in the Hero-U school. Here he'll pick up new skills (relevant to the Fighter/Mage/Thief/Paladin professions) and eventually set out on the adventure of his life, carrying light-hearted conversations with quirky characters, getting involved in turn-based skirmishes, and solving puzzles his own way.
Glad to see it released!

Now I'm just waiting for my backer-key....
I forgot this game was coming out until recently. Very happy to see it released.
Congrats from getting Hero-U released, I've understood it was a rocky road.
I might have to delve further into debt to get this before friday :D .
Interesting, I might wait a few days and see how the game is before buying but this is definately something i would want to play and Quest for Glory was fantastic, thanks GOG and developers.

Responded to the KS survey yesterday. Should have my key in a short while.
I loved the atmosphere and the story of HeroQuest I (yes, I had the early edition of KFG1).

I especially liked the scenes with Baba Yaga.and her more innocent counterpart, the healer. Story wise, I liked the interviews with the Brigand and the hermit. I chose the Thief character because I just love the mix of magic and sneaking. I am not a fan of direct puns, so I didn't exactly enjoy the meeps or Erasmus. I prefer subtle and or dark humour.
I hope this game will at least rival the quality of early late 80's Sierra games.

Is there a survey I'm missing? how come? I don't remember any update after the one on July 4th.
I didn't back this, but both campaigns are on my Kickstarter watch list. I'm glad to see this made it to completion.
It's still not on steam and this might be first day one only on GOG release.
Congratulations and Instabuy :)

Now this is a game that definitely belongs here, and it's nice to see it see the light of day. Speaking purely of the game though, as creative content.
As a product to be purchased though, could do with being probably half the price (as full price, I mean... but I guess there will be big sales soon), and definitely without regional price hikes, which again end up applied even for self-published indies, kickstarted ones too. Utterly rotten, this last part.

Is the lead character deliberately made androgynous?
Waiting for the backer key as well :)
