A fistful of vengeance.

GUN™, a gun-trotting action/adventure in the wild West, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

There is something about the Old West that keeps fascinating us. The dusty towns, the gold rush, the dames of questionable moral fiber, the bullet-ridden saloons, the twitchy duels, the tobacco-chewing villains - they blur the line between history and fantasy in a particularly alluring fashion.
GUN is about breathing in all these things as Colton White and also engaging in bounty-collection missions, poker matches, buffalo hunts, train robberies, horseback shootouts, and just about everything that an open-world adventure has to offer to a daring gunslinger such as yourself. Just remember that sometimes the stealthy, more cunning approach is preferable to direct violence, even against the lowlifes that have wronged you.

Enter the vast, opportunistic land of the Wild West and dish out justice with your GUN™ in hand, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Maxvorstadt: Ist es nicht! Habe die deutsche Disk Version hier gerade in meiner Hand. Das Spiel ist in Deutschland nicht indiziert, geschweige denn verboten!!!!!!!
That's a censored version though.

Harzzach: No, its not.

If you are over 18 years old, you can buy this game straight away. But because GOG has no system for age verification, they make their live easy and just block those games for all german IPs. I myself make my life easy and use VPN ;-P
"DRM kills Babies?"

XD We need to make Harzzach a Blue. I want him in charge of this place from now on. :D

tfishell: Please remember that this is the same price as on Steam, folks.

Asbeau: Maybe for you, but here in the UK Gun on Steam is £9.99 and Gun on GOG is $20, which is around £13.50
Yeah, it's £13.89 if you set your currency to pounds. I've not seen such a discrepancy before when an older Steam release came to GOG so it's quite odd.

Maxvorstadt, if you were a woman I'd be so turned on right now.

The US and UK versions are indexed in Germany. You have the censored USK version for german retail. GOG sells the US version, which can be bought by adult germans, if GOG had an age verification.

Sometimes im so tired of this bullshit, i just download a copy from the internet, instead of hopping through all those stupid steps to diguise my browser as "not german" ...

It's good to see more Activision titles trickle in, even with some of its downsides.

I'm definitely interested, but on the wishlist it goes for now. I've got too many newly acquired games waiting to be played as is. ;)

There are two versions of the game, one is censored, the other one is uncensored. The uncensored version is indexed.

Those damn ninjas. :P

14.99€ on Steam vs 17.69€ on GOG (from Spain).
Regarding price, I suppose Activision saw how well Vampire sold at $20 and figured they could get similar response and buys out of this one. Based on comments it seems like many people couldn't wait to hurl their $20 at Vampire. :)

Maybe. I waited. :)
And here's another release that's regional locked and not available for germans. Ain't it great... :(

ElTerprise: Well two 2 years there might've been another situation on the GOG side considering the locking began after the introduction of the German storefront and at least Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh is an Activison title which is now locked too. I agree insofar that Activision possibly waited for that situation we're now having to appear...would explain the long break between their releases.
And sure Timeshift will be locked too.
Right with "Labor des Grauens". For me that's an Sierra title, not an Activision one. Point for you. ^^

Activision is on the same level as Bethesda for me. Region locking without sense ("Quake 2+3"), just to annoy the german customers.

And yes to others, this title is again much to expensive. No buy for 20 Dollars/18 Euros, from 10 Dollars/9 Euro on I would start thinking about it. "Vampire: Bloodlines" I bought for 50% discount, this one here? No reason to pay more.

Doesn't really make it any better, does it?
Agreed. I'm not sure how comprehensive the region locking of Activision titles is on steam but Bethesda is one of the worst offenders in that matter...in addition to the Q2+3 thing...
*kicks a can* I still have the urge to curse & show middlefingers in all directions :/

More so: I see the game being advertised on this very forum page which is AFAIK the bad part; not the buying if somebody is old enough. Which I am.

It is on GOG, which is where the discussion is taking place. :)
