It's look nice. Game for children?
So cute!

To answer the question: It is a game for all ages and it welcomes seasoned adventure gamers and people new to the genre. Absolutely fine to play it with kids. It has some scary moments but not as bad as in a Grimm fairytale. ;-)
Love the art style, I'm going to take a punt on it.

Wow, looks a lot like an Amanita Design game.
Ohhh this is pretty cute ^^
Good style, reminds me of some of the games of Amanita Design (Botanicula, Machinarium, Samorost).

Thanks for linking to the tiny indie studio, nice discovery to me.
Also the music creator seems to be very talented and involved into video games. I wish them both lots of success.
God, I love creative people! :)

The game page (now, not sure if it was added) mentions the illustrator is Lisa Evans and the musician is Jessica Fichot. There was a very brief demo here at one point (maybe late last year?), hopefully that will be updated (if needed) and made available again. It had bad adventure game "puzzles" and more logic based mini games IIRC. I'm not sure how long the finished game is.

American McGee's Grimm isn't that scary though, it's just a weird whimsical game. Or are you talking about the original book?

He's talking about the original tales, written by the Brothers Grimm.
Not from the 32-Bit game "American McGee's Grimm" released in 2008.
