Grim Dawn - Ash to Mouth
i thought grim dawn was quite awesome, so this expansion is a no-brainer for me. however, since finishing the game twice (and like 150 hours of play time), i've pretty much put a bow on it for the time being. and also, it's possible my current build is gimped now... hard to say without playing.
Got a GOG key but would like to trade for a Steam one (to play multiplayer with friends). Send me a PM if you would like to trade.

mqstout: I, and many others, had no issues getting it on GOG from the KS.
I apologize, seems I was wrong, I didn't back the game on KS, I pre-ordered from the devs site directly during the or after the KS campaign (not sure when).
I want to warn everyone:
Despite the fact that the text says that the sale will last "until October 18, 5PM UTC", REAL timer on the page https://www.gog.com/promo/20171011_special_promo_action_rpgs shows that there are only 40 hours left (less than two days).
This is clearly a mistake (either in the announcement or in the discount settings), but I do not know if the "blue shifts" are read in the topic and whether the mistake is corrected before the start of weekend, so I advise those wishing to use the discount not to delay. On the weekend, there will be no one to correct the mistake and the discount will end before the announced date.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Why is GOG releasing so many games that are also on Steam, without crossplay between GOG and Steam? Doing that vastly lowers the value proposition & incentive to buy from GOG instead of Steam. No crossplay in effect means that the GOG version's multiplayer will be gimped compared to the Steam version's multiplayer, will it not?
I've played vanilla GD with mates over LAN, all my mates have it on steam but I've got it from here, and fortunately that works.

However, I am disappointed at the lack of online crossplay, and do really hope this is added soon; I have one friend in particular who would buy this on steam but I don't think is keen to get it from here, but I think the main reason for that is, of course, lack of crossplay with other steam users...
I don't know if it was the update patch or the DLC, but either way, some of my old gear gained expansion-style perks overnight. That was a nice surprise.

(Expansion-style perks include things like "casting speed on skill X increased by Y%" or whatever. Specific mods to specific skills, like damage type conversion or summon limits or who knows what else.)

Ancient-Red-Dragon: I saw the original Grim Dawn on sale for GOG and it looked pretty good, except that it apparently has no crossplay with Steam.

I assume that this expansion also has no crossplay with Steam?

On the other hand, if GOG ensured that every GOG game that is also on Steam has crossplay between them, then buying from GOG every time would be a no-brainer.

I hate buying anything from Steam, but not having crossplay is such a bad omission that it encourages me to buy from Steam over GOG.
Personally i stopped buying from steam about a year ago even though i have over 100 games on that platform due to the fact steam will often lock me out of over 90% of my games. i will set it to be in offline mod prior to disconnecting from the net, take my lap top with me to work where i do not have net access for personal devices ( i have a lot of down time in my job working 10 pm to 6 am) yet steam will still automatically try to update or atleast verify account information via an online check locking me out of my game collection. so i am very glad gog is offering this game and wish they offered more because i am sooooooooo tired of steams drm bs on games i theoretically own.

r8V9b1X3u9VcA12p: I have the Loyalist Edition that I bought via Crate's Website long ago, so I should get this first Expansion for free. There's nothing in Humble Bundle, Crate has sent me nothing and my GOG's Grim Dawn doesn't include the expansion.

Is anyone in the same situation, and should I do something?

Remembering the mess it was to get a key for the base game and apply it on GOG when it was released, I'm getting nervous once again for this expansion.
Write to Humble.
I had similar problem with not getting a key for crucible while having Loyalist package, turned out that "package upgrade" made me miss "Grim Dawn patron edition" key.
They manually added that missed key and I got "Ashes" normally upon release.

I had similar problem with not getting a key for crucible while having Loyalist package, turned out that "package upgrade" made me miss an important key.
They manually added that missed key and I got "Ashes" normally upon release.
I've been in contact with Humble Bundle support since the expansion launch: despite providing every details of my transaction (ID, date, payment method) with Crate Entertainment (I knew troubles were coming so I saved everything when I preordered) and Crate Entertainment's game key, plus both Humble Bundle's base game and Loyalist DLC keys, the support couldn't find anything related to Grim Dawn in their database...

Today, they have escalated the problem to another internal team. I suggested to them that with all infos they have they could contact simply Crate Entertainment which could confirm I bought the Loyalist Edition and then generate a key, but it must be too easy a solution :-)

I'll eventually get this Expansion key but to be honest I'm p*ssed off and I can't waste time and energy for that (5 mails with support already). Pondering over the fiasco both during launch (I eventually received DRM-free keys like 2 weeks after launch) and now, I won't preorder anything anymore to "support" a company selling at full price and just wait for sales.

Just for reference, this is how my key list for GD looks on humble at the moment.

Thanks, very helpful! I don't understand why my GD keys aren't displayed at all on my Humble Keys page.

I realize that I don't have Crucible, I thought it wasn't included in the Loyalist Edition because it's a DLC and not an expansion. Also, never heard of this Legendary DLC.

Edit: both DLCs are for Patron Edition, I have only Loyalist Edition.

This is exact root of your problem :)
Loyalist edition includes everything from patron edition+some cosmetics.
You need to get your patron key.
Send to humble information that Loyalist includes patron rewards, something like that

Thanks a lot! It's clearer now, I've just sent a new mail to Humble support, explaining the changed situation.

I cannot help but ask: in the description on the page you linked it is written:

"Grim Dawn Loyalist Edition - Everything from the $50 version plus... First Grim Dawn expansion when released."

Does that mean there are other expansions planned, besides Ashes of Malmouth?
Or do they mean Crucible as the first one?
