Bought and installed and going to start it in few seconds. I have avoided the hat DLC, but otherwise the content from Crate was very solid experience, there is no reason to doubt it will be the same here.
I didn't have the chance to try Grim Dawn yet, but when i do i'll definitely buy the expansion too. The 70% discount on GD is great, many thanks for that!
Best aRPG yet made!

nightcraw1er.488: Seems to be far better than the "Loyalist DLC" con. Still a bit expensive for an addon, still may get it with the discount on Crucible. Though they should really throw the other loyalist DLC in for free.
The "Loyalist" was them selling to everyone the bonuses people who bough the game before release (e.g., Kickstarter, etc) so anyone who wanted it to get it; something that was previously exclusive. Yes, price is too high. But I'd rather nothing be exclusive.

Definitely a must have for me. I'll have to wait a bit, unfortunately, but since I enjoyed Grim Dawn more than any other game in the same genre (GO PYROMANCER!), there is no way I'll miss this. Besides, I still have some unfinished business with the Aetherials...
Had no idea that expansion was in the works.
Thank you, instabuy!

How exactly were you conned?

Loyalist DLC is kickstarter reward content. Shockingly, scandalously, to get to enjoy content that was a reward for people who donated money to a game far, far in advance, when it might not have been made, you need to pony the fuck up.

Making kickstarter exclusives available for sale is awesome. If you're against it, I humbly suggest you make sweet, tender, passionate love to a wasp nest.

I wasn't. I say that £8 for a dressy up dlc which adds nothing is a con. I can see that so will never put any money into it. Pre-order stuff is bad yes, but chucking money at nothing is also. Humbly suggest that supporting this is only goi g to encourage it.
Wishlisted.
Hell yeah! Click the crap out of that mouse eh!

While I agree the Loyalist DLC is too expensive for what you get, it definitely isn't a con as there's nothing tricking you or forcing you into buying it. AFAIK, the game card is very clear and honest on what the DLC contains and if you think it's too expensive, you're free to refuse. The content is entirely optional and the base game isn't affected in any way. If the loyalty DLC was required for the AoM DLC, THEN I would be complaining about it being a con :P

Personally, I think Crate did a superb job with Grim Dawn and I would definitely support them by buying DLC, even if it's only cosmetic. However, the price must reflect the value of the content and that's my only beef with the loyalty DLC.
I am original Kickstarter backer of this game with expansion both for Steam and GOG . And surprised now . Because no
one seems mentioned . This Loyalist DLC is already for loyal fans who want to support them much more . It won't give any advantages or OP bonuses . They are purely cosmetic skins .
Still waiting for the game to be complete. I hate to buy my games in pieces.

I will never forgive the dev of this game because of the fact that I backed Grim Dawn on Kickstarter yet they refused to give me a code for it on GOG, so I'm stuck with only a Steam version.

I, and many others, had no issues getting it on GOG from the KS.
I saw the original Grim Dawn on sale for GOG and it looked pretty good, except that it apparently has no crossplay with Steam.

I assume that this expansion also has no crossplay with Steam?

Why is GOG releasing so many games that are also on Steam, without crossplay between GOG and Steam? Doing that vastly lowers the value proposition & incentive to buy from GOG instead of Steam. No crossplay in effect means that the GOG version's multiplayer will be gimped compared to the Steam version's multiplayer, will it not?

On the other hand, if GOG ensured that every GOG game that is also on Steam has crossplay between them, then buying from GOG every time would be a no-brainer.

I hate buying anything from Steam, but not having crossplay is such a bad omission that it encourages me to buy from Steam over GOG.
